I had divorced parents who were always so different . my mom always had an opinion and wanted me to see her side. My father raised my brother and I as a single parent. He was so reserved and did things "the right way" by what was socially accepted. Both of them put both us in the middle of their, an emotional roller coaster. This Nov 2010 I watched Ani perform this song at the Keswick. After the show when meeting her I let her know how this song hits my heart, and with a nod back she knew.
