Nice video. I have decided to give in to my urges to buy the nook, except for one problem. Can I actually use the web browser, to open a pdf file from a website, and then read it?
@awells88 You could always scan the books and make them pdf files, then return them. I wouldn't do that, because I am a law-abiding individual, but just so you know :)
Thanks for the hint about "small" - this seems to fix the formatting compared to the Nook default of Medium. I was hoping to read IC datasheets with the Nook and was considering returning it because of how bad they looked - but with the font set to "small" they look great!
PDFs look like shit on the nook because of the small low resolution screen. Only 800x600 resolution. The only usable PDF eReader as of today is the Kindle DX or the newer DX Graphite. Personally I would wait for the new gen of eReaders coming at the end of the year which will have higher resolutions and bigger screens.
When you are viewing the entire page of a pdf, is it readable?
I have been looking for ereader that naturally supports pdf because all my books come with pdf and I am getting tired of carrying my bag with 2-3 books with each has 500-1000 pages.
My question is this. If I download an e-books .pdf file and transport it on my nook, am I going to be able to have 'chapters'? Yours didn't but, if I typically download an ebook from a torrent site, should I still have the chapter and the cover?
yeah, don't show how medium looks like:P Why would you choose large? That's not relevant at all;) I wish there was something in between small and medium:( I think it's a bit too hard to read a PDF with its default size and medium makes it way too big.
Good video. You won't be found in search if you don't add tags. You have NONE so your video probably won't be seen by nearly anyone who wants to see nook videos

Is there any way to add chapters to pdf file for better navigation on a nook? I down loading a 1234 page book and it's one huge file.

What I like about the nook is the non LCD screen. It's easy on the eyes.

@blackyblackblack505 Yes. E-Ink displays do what they are suppose to do, easy on the eyes.

Thanks for this. Have you tried to use textbooks on this? I was thinking of maybe getting one of these to save on textbook costs. What do you think?

@awells88 No I haven't but I would suggest not doing this until they come out with a larger ebook.

@ladydemando Yes. If it is in epub. format then it has the chapters defaulted into the book.
