  • Thank you for this dynamik demonstration!

  • Its like a fusion of TKD, Akido, and Jujitsu

  • 1:57 Wow Real Skill

  • like this definitely. but correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't a attacker, if empty handed, most likely attack with punches than kicks?

  • This is HAPKIDO!!!!

  • i wanna learn hapkido now!!!!

  • who wins? hapkido vs brazilian jiu jitsu?

    what do you think?

  • @mangami96 a 45 Magnum!!

  • 0:57 holy shit sooooo sick

  • wow thats beast

  • narrowed down my next style, hapkido or aikido not sure which is better

  • @chatanwarrior take both if you want, but basically Aikido is Japanese grappling and Hapkido is its Korean equivalent. the creator of Hapkido lived in Japan for 30 years during WWII and he studied Jujitsu and used that to create his style. I dont know for sure but I think Aikdo and Hapkido may be the similar. But to decide just find all the schools near you and if Aikido is closer take that or if Hapkido is take that

  • @chatanwarrior i would've chosen hapkido, but if you can't choose, why not do both if possible? never cant learn too much

  • bjj and mma really ruined traditional martial arts for me.. i remember i used to want to do kung fu. and hapkido. then i ran accross some bjj videos. and at first thought it was "gay" then saw it vs other styles and thats what opened me to MMA and then i saw for uneffective most traditional martial arts really are in REAL situations. good luck catching punch

  • thx for the posting of this video. HAP KI!!

  • i will never make trouble to a chinese man ever ever ever again i promise god and if one whants to fight me pls dont learn him kung-fu pls lol wolrd war four wil be foughted be chinese man with hapkido loool

  • its like kungfu

  • who wouls thumbs down this!

  • You can see by the angles of some of these weapons defenses that the Krav Maga system took some pieces away from Hapkido. As did they from other Traditional Systems, but in this video the simple redirection and counters you can see Krav Maga took it away from this, they just eliminated all the silly spinning that Hapkido uses.

    Good Vid.

  • i love to combine systema,budo-jitsu,KFM and hapkido into one martial art, my mates and myself love to demonstrate what we are capable of ;) when we do this there is no martial artists that can take us on... (in a real fight; not to talk myself up but if you combine martial arts like these its just deadly!) and good demo by the way, loved it.

  • this kicks ass literally.it is an amazing demo of hapkido and that is why i love it so much,i am only a purple belt, but we r amazing as u can see,for those of you who doubt it,try it and u will see, those guys r flipping out of the move because it is also a dfensive move,if they did not flip out while being thrown they would seriously be injured.try to do it if you dare, let someone do those moves to you without flipping and u will see what could happen

  • Theres a Hapkido place close to me, but I can't take Hapkido for a while because I have flat feet. It really hurts to walk/run!

  • towards the end that guy made those 3 his bitch

  • nice show ! Thats all.

  • So many korean moves are used by elite police and military units around the world. Thats "AS REAL AS IT GETS!" MMA fighters know how to disarm people of weapons and arrest them and not be prosecuted themselves for bloodying up some one? Or storm buildngs, aircraft and free hostages? I am also sick of these MMA heroes trash talking tried and tested methods. Some of these styles were born out of war,not in a ring with doctors referees and weight divisions and timed bouts. jcallner I'm with you.

  • @Yomoyo78: Agreed. I study hapkido, and anyone who thinks these techniques do not work or are not effective, don't know what they are talking about. HKD can't be used in the MMA ring, because UFC prohibits small joint locks. Why? Because they are so effective, and can cause so much damage. Some of the more flashy techniques here wouldn't work on the street, but the rest of it would, in spades. HKD is taught to police, soldiers and security personnel the world over. Why? Because it works.

  • I am so sick of hearing from 20 year old shaved head UFC idiots about how Hapkido won't work on the street because you watched that Rorian Gracie video and you think you know something. You guys are clueless about Hapkdio, and your "martial art" is just a game.

  • These guys aren't just "black belts" are they? Tell me they're masters or at least on their way.

  • @jcallner: They're advanced black belts, so don't despair... takes years to get that good, plus aptitude.

  • Awesome demonstration. And as for the people asking for the song, it's Don't Stop by ATB, or at least a variation of it.

  • does anyone knows which song it is?

  • Great demonstration : ) don't mean to be a pest, but whats the title of the soundtrack?

  • @RagingMetalhead It's stock music used for video production so it's not available in the retail music market. Glad you like the video though!

  • @turtlepress it sounds like a remix of ATB's Don't stop. glab you liked the song. it's awesome

  • @RagingMetalhead ATB Don't Stop

  • @RagingMetalhead i know the name of the soundtrack =DDD its = Atb- Don'T Stop =D

  • very nice!

  • As a BB in Hapkido, I can tell you most of this wouldn't work in real life. But it is pretty to watch.

  • @Usag1Yoj1mbo

    blahblah old topic!

it looks fency because those people help to demonstrate playing an attacker know they would break their joints if they physicaly resist the motion of the defender.

    in other words:

in real situations it's just a short crack of bones and joints without throwing ppl around.. so there is no nice-to-watch in real life!

btw. this people are damn fast, flexible, strong, conditioned, have good reflexes and have knowledge you don't find on wikipedia!

  • @Usag1Yoj1mbo Then I highly doubt you are a black belt in Hapkido, or at least a very poorly trained one.

  • if this is work in real life, ufc, mma, karate, kick boxing or any would use some of the skill.

who can do like 0,56 to 1,07. if you can do, then why there is no korean fighters in martial art competition?

  • @yattokame0104 umm their are Korean fighters in MMA lol but other than that you have a good point

  • I wish this actually worked in real life... Still was awesome!

  • @JoeTheAnarchist ok you can´t rally defend against guns if you don´t have one yourself, but the rest would work i think

  • @JoeTheAnarchist It does work in real life, why would it be a martial art if it didnt work?? O.o

  • i don't see why it wouldn't work, some acrobatic moves may hurt when we land but the rest...

  • @JoeTheAnarchist It does work in real life... just not all of the fancy throwing.

  • 1:31 oolala!!!

  • 1:31 oolala!!!

  • Thank you for excellent hapkido demo

  • Thank you for posting excellent hapkido demonstration I can only hope to be so good one day

  • at 1:46 that dude never even kicked him and thee other guy flew. Skills. rofl.

  • Excellent moves

  • Even though this a demo the ending was dope tying up three guys at one.

  • Just a demo guys. It shows joint manipulation, throws/takedowns, and strikes.

Looked good as far as demos go.

  • I take Hapkido. It's true, you can't defend yourself if a gunman is far away from you. However, at close range I do have a chance to save myself rather than taking a bullet like a chump. For all Hapkido skeptics, walk into a class and ask for a free lesson.

  • i hear ya man i do hapkido and my teacher said the same thing, "if they think its fake they have a free lesson"

  • i love comments where you say the guy is far away from you. apperently you havent been on the streets cause if the guy is far away from you, how do you know hes even pointing the gun at you? most robbers to come close. and if they do they are screwed. and ofc its a risky move but if the attacker isnt ready hes not actually thinking of that he needs to react incase the dude tries to getaway. that gives the hapkido practioner an advantage.

  • i dont really believe in self defense against a gun.besides for the person to defend against a gun the gun has to be near the body of the person who is defending itself, and if the person with the gun does not holds it near you,u cant really react and u might simply get killed.

  • this was excellent!

  • I have one word for this.

    demonstration

  • damn youre good! but it is still kind of risky? if u are not fast enough... just if not saying this is crapy but u will still get pop on the head

  • I like the videos that are coming from this school, if possible, can they continue?

  • Very good demonstration of HapKiDo! Thankyou for the post.
