all i have to say is: Watch both "rebuild evangelion movies" its a perfect edited Evangelion in my opinion, even tho i found the ´old´ movies and episodes fine and good enough, with lots of confusion and abit of a disappointing ending. I mean you don´t really wanna see the characthers getting slaugthered, even tho it´s a good exsample of how mankin react on treats. Anyways. WATCH the REBUILD MOVIES! EPIC 11/10 stars

What happened to Asuka, well its unknown if she died at that point, but she did die cause of the 3rd impact, so as everyone else in the world. In the final scene she and Shinji are the only ones alive cause Shinji rejected instrumentality, so he wanted to live with ppl badly. Asuka's desire to live was so great that she also resurrected first.
