  • Strand Presbyterian Church in Belfast

  • Where was the location of the church US? I hope that that beautiful organ gets a good home as it is one great instrument. I just got a hand me down but its an organ as I love them all.

  • Thank you Alex and Alison for the great tunes that I miss in church so much. I love my church but you are so right about being clueless dropping the organ or playing them in the background . I am learning to play so its great to here you play as I remember growing up with the church organs. I miss them so much

  • The organ was a pipe organ . The building is now demolished and the organ was removed by an organ company for possible reuse. You can see more of the inside of it as it was removed at the video from this user strand last days. The organ was installed in 1953 and the make is- Evans and Barr a loval company in N Ireland

  • @VictorChestnutt Nice playing:) What is the make & model of organ?

  • I sure have enjoyed you playing, not many churches play the organ anymore. Wow what they are missing. All they have is a small band and its not what I grew up with but its ok i guess.

  • @rick4946 As someone who plays guitar and organ I know that organ can play along with these 'rock & roll church bands'- they are clueless. To drop the organ altogether is what irritates me. First of all classic hymns are powerful pieces of music, not wimpy grandmas' music. The people who wrote the songs were young and vibrant individuals too, they spent many years perfecting their tone and feel. I used to play in a metal band, now I'm a theater organist.
