  • Its witchcraft. Burn the witch!

  • quantum locking

  • vagina

  • which pixel am i supposed to be looking at?

  • Quantum Levitation

  • superconductors...

  • I can explain this, The dude needs a video camera and needs to stop using a Twinkie for recording blurry messes

  • This is just superconductors. When the metal is cooled ( the one sitting on top of the slab), it "activates" the superconductor and it acts like a magnet.

Don't quote me on this I haven't taken physics in a while.

  • LOL Superconductor nice

  • you make this seem like it's supposed to be imposible

  • I hate having to explain myself.

    Don't ask me why.

  • It is called FLUX LOCKING. The liquid nitrogen/helium poured into the system with a DIAMAGNETIC graphite slab. The super cold temperature allows the diamagnet to create a locked field system with the Neodymium magnet.

Normally, the diamagnet would simply repel the magnet no matter what pole is introduced - but the liquid nitrogen/helium alters the repelling field of the diamagnet to be of static locking nature rather than continuously opposing the magnet away from its field domain.

  • Who knows? Who can tell you why? Fools give you reasons but wise guys never tryyyyyy......

  • maybe you shouldve used a magnet to record this instead!!!

  • Its super cooled right? Then the magnet rays flow over the object rather than having it be attracted. Thus it floats!!!!!

  • Super semiconductor

  • what i want someone to explain is why the fuck does this videos quality suck so bad

  • @hustl3conMuscle210 hahahaha, totally agree, think it may've been shot in the late 70's? lool

  • @hustl3conMuscle210 Can I assume you are struggling with the English Language. Try..What I want is for someone to explain why this video quality is so bad.

I don't know why the other expletives are required in this question.

  • @corporallee44 was that a insult? it made no fucking sense.

  • so Lets rock baby

  • gasp, the new way to display things

  • if i would get 1 € for every pixel in the video, i would have 20 cent

  • @MultiFroge if i had a mother fucking dollar for every time that stupid attention seeking comment was posted i would be one rich mother fucker . be original bitch

  • the black magnet has aids?

  • The black brick in center is made of Yttrium barium copper oxide, high-temperature superconductor. Google it. Levitation of magnet over it is The Meissner effect. Google it too.

  • so, you filmed this with your juice box did you?

  • obviosly chuck norris held the magnet dur.

  • A perfect example of diamagnetism. Not surprising , since superconductors are considered perfect diamagnets i.e they completely repel the magnetic field they are put in.

  • The material in the center has a low critical temp

  • superconductor... if you cool it, magnets cannot be penetrated by the field of the superconductor... they therefore are locked in space... its called quantum levitation.

  • It must be God. I mean, since we cant explain it, it must be God, right?

  • WOW! Dont listen to dontickthepineapple, photoshop cannot make stuff "move".

  • its called P-H-O-T-O-S-H-O-P.

  • @dontlickthepineapple technically it's called quantum locking

  • google flux trapping

  • flux trapping

  • objects magnetism is dependent on temperature at certain times and certain compounds become magnetic as the temperature in increased or decreased, exact name of principle? idk

  • bla maleacous bla bla scintific bla yada yada bla bla thar i explaned it

  • diamegnetic levetation and superconductors! fun stuff... try using a permanent marker and color half of the magnet, then spin it while its in the air.... it will spin forever... 0(>_<)0

  • Simple. It's Unobtainium.

  • The black solid on the plate is Yttrium barium copper oxide, a high-temperature superconductor. When liquid nitrogen is poured onto it, the superconductor is able to conduct electricity at almost zero resistance. When the magnet goes on top of the superconductor, it is able to repel and 'hold' the magnet because it wants to resist the magnetic flux change by creating a current to form a magnetic field to repel and attract the magnet... Well that was pretty nerdish

  • MAGIC!

  • It was obviously a ghost.

  • hrm let me show you how far i can go

  • did you film this with a rock?

  • i got here from a song called "BOOTY STORE" Lool

  • Your a witch xD

  • The thing on the plate resembles U.S.A., the silver circle thing resembles a mexican, and the liquid resembles border guards. As soon as you introduced border guards to the U.S.A., the mexican could no longer get close.

  • @thedivisionbell220 lmfao makes sense

  • @thedivisionbell220 your a racist

  • @OpsBlackZombies he doesn't have BLACK ZOMBIES in his name does he now... so I believe sir, that makes you the racist

  • why do people think calculators are good video cameras

  • I'm missing these for my Kinect set!

  • Aliens

  • Science you scary

  • The liquid nitrogen causes the air between the magnet and the block of liqoris to get sticky .. its related to the flipping of the spin of the nuclei analogous to magnetic resonance, which causes the liqoris to exude sticky air .. nah just kiddin :-)

  • Wow this is seriously wizard ..

  • im a wizard

  • Superconductor

  • are you a wizard?

  • Did you film this with a magnet?

  • Whichcraft! Run!

  • The answer lies in the material being used. One-the black rectangle is a substance that has adverse reactions to, obviously extreme cold temperatures. I'm sure the same splits to screen heat, this material is the X factor in the equation. To my knowledge there are more than one substances that have these yours of traits.

  • Photoshop

  • Darn the man beat me to explaining it, if you watch discovery channel often the anwser is easy ; )

  • belts made by these can make u fly, not weed

  • So this is the original quantum levitation video..nice

  • Maybe the magnet on the bottom becomes ad superconductor when frozen with liquid nitrogen, then the magnetic field from the magnet passes through the superconductor, and locks in its position, holding the magnet in place

  • Aliens.

  • Fotoshop could explain it.

  • Do u know the magnet always have Positive side and negative side first time it was positife to negatve no its negative to negative and they cant touch it ! [ i dont know english well so sory for mistakes ]

    !

  • sorry i couldnt see the video. maybe try upgradeing that toaster of yours?

  • IT'S CALL "SUPERCONDUCTIVITY " YOU RETARDT.....

  • made in china

  • Chuck Norris

  • the first step to making UFOs

  • It is called the Meissner effect

  • Chuck Norris told it to....

  • MAG LEV STUPID he flipped the magnet

  • @kaden2cool no its a super conductor. They used liquid nitrogen to supercool the black material making it magnetic. The silver magnet is then attracted and repelled by the black substances magnetic field causing levitation.

  • AWSOME!!!

  • This is what their doing in Japan to build the next versions of Bullet Trains.

  • its called a super conductor

  • The future platforms!

  • the magnet was made by treyarch

  • top comment subbed -> finnish.

  • @KemoSTL why copy and paste the top comment?

  • magic!!!!!!!

  • Near the end of my marriage my ex-wife could've been nichnamed Yttrium Barium Copper Oxide or Cold Bitch for short because she got real repulsed anything but the milkman & the baker & the postman & the guy who delivered the orange juice...

  • Dont let god patch this!

  • Jesus Christ and God can explain this

  • @shoyturn "They" can even explain themselves.

  • @ac23AQ yup

  • Magnets, how do they work?

  • el principio de la propulsion de los ovnis?

  • this is an old trick. all you need is a magnet some copper oxide and some liquid nitrogen. instead of a magnet attracting an object the superconductor mirrors the magnetic field causing it to hover. but only works at sub zero temps hence the liquid nitrogen. the superconductor itself has to be chilled out

  • ALIENS

  • There were ALSO a few skips

  • oh oh oh i saw what happened

There was a pause because the bad quality tells you! There were moving pixels oen secon,d frozen the next, then unfrozen and moving again! Perfect to tell a pause in a bad quality video.

  • hahahahahahahah a glitch xD

  • A WIZARD DID IT!

  • god damnit, i hate calling godco!

  • at a guess it would be the principle of electro thermal resistance

  • ahhh...240p...we meet again!

  • its a bug. require new patch

  • its diagmagnetism =)

  • @LiewDarWin <----What he said..... o.0

  • @SamohtVII You'll learn that at about 15 years old in physics, its part of electromagnetic induction :)

  • @LiewDarWin thx, that is a great help (sincere, not sure if spelt correct)

  • @LiewDarWin Nuff said.

  • @LiewDarWin im pretty sure u just devide by zero

  • lag!!!

  • erm I`m good looking babe, with great sense of humor

  • its still in beta so this happens a lot

  • Superconductors reject any and all magnetic lines thus causing levitation. It only is in this state when it's cooled with the liquid nitrogen. This is a "high-temperature" superconductor since it only takes liquid nitrogen instead of liquid hydrogen to reach the superconducting state. Ask Bill Nye

  • Like one of the top comments, was filmed with a casio calculator ! simple.

  • Because the big black rectangle is a supraconductor thingney, so its means that when it's really really cold, it will conduct current perfectly and act like a super powerfull magnet

  • Aliens!

  • why did you touch the magnet after poring liquid nitrogen on it?

  • it has to do something with liquid nitrogen and magnets...

  • HACKS!

  • which pixel do I look?

  • Aliens

  • Jew Magic.

  • 240p...so we meet again

  • the black thing is a superconductor. they are awesome. unfortunately they are only active when cooled to a certain temperature, hence the liquid nitrogen, however, once they do become active, they possess some pretty awesome qualities. these include not only being able to keep a magnet stably suspended above them, but they become perfect conductors. zero resistance. you could have a wire of superconductive material that is only as thick as a hair, and have tens of thousands of volts flow through

  • @trfbell If you've ever seen the movie Avatar, the planet pandora possesses rich "unobtainium" deposits. unobtainium is so valuable (20 million dollars per kilogram) because it is a superconductor that is active at room temperature. the phenomenon you see in this video is also what causes the floating mountains in the movie. superconductors in the ground + magnetic materials in the rocks = floating rocks

  • the black object is a superconductor but it has to be cooled to a very low temperature for it to become superconductive ( if it is the right term :D ). what is poured on it is maybe a liquid nitrogen to cool it down. when the magnet is put on top of it the superconductor creates an opposing magnetic field to which makes it levitate. but i guese you better search on google about superconductors if you are really interested

  • YES I CAN EXPLAIN IT !---I KNOW WHAT GRAVITY IS !-AND I CAN EXPLAIN THIS !

  • god did it

  • the cube is a superconductor

  • if you watch closely at 0:32 you will se that he cut of the movie and put somestrings on it... YEAH I EXPLAINED IT!!

  • This is the only time I'm ever going to be an ass about video resolution. Ahem.

Was this video filmed with a calculator?

  • At the camera cut that happens at :27 seconds, the person stopped filming, turned the magnet over and then started filming again. Two magnets will attract when facing one way and repel when one is turned around. The dry ice fog was merely distraction.

  • @AnonyGrl1 So if thats how you think it works then try put 2 magnets with the sides that repells eachother and get the one that floats to stay over the other magnet. If you manage with it then I will take this back and call you God.

  • Fucking magnets, was this filmed with a _______, if I had a ____ for every pixel... etc etc.

  • If I had a nickle for every pixel in this video, I would have a penny...

  • But the question is, will it blend?

  • Is this how hovercrafts work.

  • what is the black cube???

  • liquid nitrogen is the answer, its extremly cold, but thats what it is

  • I'm no expert, but the material in the liquid nitrogen is a superconductor. As the magnet (above) is brought closer to the superconductor, large electrical currents develop in the superconductor. There is no resistance to these currents, so they keep running indefinitely. The currents produce an opposing magnetic field which pushes against the magnet. The second question is: Why can't you do this with two normal magnets with similar poles pushing them apart.

  • @ngneer999 What...

  • @ViperStingUK The black cube is a material called a superconductor. It is made of several elements mixed together. At very low temperatures it has ABSOLUTELY no resistance to the flow of electricity. The smoking liquid being poured into the dish is liquid nitrogen. It will cool the superconductor to about -190C (-340F) which makes it work. When a magnet moves toward a conductor (like copper) electricity flows.

  • @ngneer999 what would you think it is, YBCO? In space it would work well, it would maybe create extreme gravitational fields and maybe direct the radiation towards a plasma array, similar to a solar cell. who knows, the fields could induce a Bose Einstein condensate on the surface or within the upper layers of the YBCO creating a phonon effect in say a super atom where the whole body if fitted to a craft becomes singular, multiplying energy by photon absorption a local level by many..?

  • @ViperStingUK In copper, the flow of electricity stops because there is resistance to that flow. In a superconductor it never stops. Imagine you stir a cup of coffee. When you remove the spoon, the motion of the coffee will eventually stop. If coffee was a frictionless fluid, it would keep moving in the cup forever. The movement of electricity in the superconductor makes a magnetic field which pushes against the magnet (above the black cube). The magnet will float until the nitrogen evaporates.

  • fuck off im not having that fuck off

  • the liquid nitrogen super cooled the magnets thus creating a strong enough magnetic field to levitate the smaller mag,

  • chuck norris can

  • magnet levitating above a superconducting material. the magnet creates eddy currents inside the superconductor and those currents create a magnetic field opposing the magnet. you used liquid nitrogen I guess to bring the conductor to a superconducting state.

  • super heating or super freezing a magnet will cause it to lose its magnitism, but when it cools, or heats up again, the polarity is reversed......uhh winning

  • I can explain it, when you dropped that hot piss on the object the metal was like hell no i dont want to touch that you nasty bitch. Then the object was like, "come on, you know you want too," and the metal was like "ok if you say so." and he then sat on it. And so ya..... Thats how babies are made.

  • Steve Spangler did that

  • It's a special magnet that creates a force field at cold tempurters

  • It's superconducting magnetic levitation, they're using the same principle for the meglev train in Japan

  • a small disturbance in space and time waves

  • Pouring liquid nitrogen on super conductive stuff

  • hahhahaha i love that coment by melenejelly "if i had a dollar for every pixel in this video i would have 76 dollars' hahahahha

  • stop copieng vids

  • its one hell of a drug !

  • its the properties of a super conductor. it only really works at super low temps. its physics dear watson

  • That's DIMAGNETISM. -_+

    ... /watch?v=KcGEev8qulA

  • have you ever see levitron????????????

  • i think the magnetic field is frozen

  • if i had a dollar for every pixel in this video i would have 67 dollars.

  • its possible to be iron man after all hmm

  • what he said @aether223

  • you could see the take role move dumb azz

  • 240p me meet again
