what the hell are you talking about. The first religion practiced in ethiopian is Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo covering 60-63% of the whole ethiopian population. Then it is Muslim with around 30%. Then is the protestant and other forms of christianity besides orthodoxy covering around 10%. The rest are African Traditional Religion covering less than 1%.

Christiand and muslims have lived side by side in harmoney in Ethiopia for centuries. Today there are hard liners on both sides who are trying hard to change that . But it is all in vain. Ethiopian christians and muslims will live in harmoney and with respect to each other for centuries more.
To the person who made the video , being mualim doesn't mean being arab. What is with the arabic song ? You could have used muslim songs in any one of Ethiopian languages.

Some the things I posted could be debatable. However, the current islamic fervor that is making some presence in Ethiopia in different and strange fashion; need to be toned down a bit. muslim Ethiopians should be thankfull to Christian Ethiopia. It is this Christian Ethiopia that save islam from its begining. The outlandish claims are just laughable to say the least. Who ever post this video have never been in Ethiopia. We love our Muslim brother and sisters. We are friends and family. Please don't preach hate . It has no use for any one. I am Orthodox and my best friend is Muslim. We went same school and grew old until today. I respect her religion and so does she. It's true today we Ethiopians love each other regardless of ethinisity or religion. But to say everything was the same in past, is ignorant history is history, good or bad. Half of my family r christian the other half muslim. After i came here to the sates, i learned what discrimination means. I just found out why half of my family is christian. After fighting the facist Italy for 5 years, my grandmother forced to change her religion in order to own a business in Addis. That was fact. History.

you're right. For the most part, at least especially with the younger generations, there is the rightful tolerance, but there is a point to be noted, also. I was actually in Addis Abeba last year, and faced outright discrimination as a Muslim, verbally and physically, although realizing these are isolated situations. I noticed they were done by older men, so perhaps the older gen has some growing up to do. OH! I'm going back in 2 days, inshaAllah, so I'll let you know how it went! :) ONE LOVE!

This figure is inaccurate, unless you are only counting the northern highland areas. Muslims make up more than 65% of the population. Almost all of eastern Ethiopia is Muslim, and this includes Bale, in the now Oromia state.
