@1airsofter1 All M4's have ver2 gearboxes (AFAIK). I would be a bit hesitant to throw a lipo on it before at least checking out the bushings and shimming. JG builds good stuff so it is probably good to go, but then again "probably" really isn't good enough, is it?
It had an Aimpoint sight on it, the flash hider is just threaded on, but it is a bit stiff and has sharp edges so use gloves or wrap it in some cloth or you'll cur your hands.
someone help me and tell if a 10.8 or any other lipos work in a cyma tommy gun with 380 fps spring all metall gearbox bushing all insides metal. or just get a high maH 7.4 lipo.
are there any upgrades before you installed a lipo. i have a jg m4 and i want to go lipo but i'm scared its just gonna burst open if i try one. it says lipo ready on the box but i dont know whether to trust the box or someone who actually used one
or instead of spending all that money upgrading, you could get a large handguard with a 9.6v battery. Thats what i did and its the equivalent rof of that gun
I agree completely. I'd say most of the upgrades were a complete waste of money. Handguard + battery and a precision barrel is all that is really needed to create a mean G36C. The original gearbox is IMHO very good. Except for maybe the bushings.
What brand of LiPo do you use? I wanna get a good 7.4v mini LiPo and a LiPo smart charger but I don't wanna buy from Evike or ehobbyasia. Do you know of any other good places to buy that stuff (I'm in California) and what brands to look for?
Nice job getting it lipo ready! Of course my JG G36C isn't lipo ready yet but lol my Kwa KM16 SR12 is xD Getting some new gears and other stuff soon :D
I ran 10000+ shots without hiccups through this setup.Sold it now though (too much plastic for my taste). I use LiPo in all my guns. Turns out 11.1V was too much for my 80m/s CQB gun. THat one ROFfed itself to death at Berget 7. Anything above 100m/s seems to work just fine.
I'm not shooting at flowers. Listen and you'll hear the BB's hit off-camera trees (the "tick" sound after each "whup").
Ok, i need to say that any clone gun will break at different times when using batts larger than a 9.6, some will go 100 shots with a lipo, others will go 10000, quality control on clones arent very great, id never run a lipo unless your confident in your internals, and any stock clone shouldt do it.
that is awesome im getting this gun im putting a 9.6 volt though because i dont want to wear the gears and everything else, but awesome modification you got on that
Will a normal jg g36c be able to take the stress of an 11.1v lipo battery without failing very quickly? because it already has metal bushing and a m120 spring, plus their pistons are already pretty good quality
I tried a longer element barrel but wasn't impressed (at all) so I went with a std 236mm madbull barrel. Made a LOT of difference. Used madbulls in other guns as well with similar results.
It has shown zero wear so far. Since I only use a M120 spring I dont think I'll need an upgrade anytime soon. This guns purrs like a kitten in CQB :-)
have you checked ROF officially? i was expecting a much higher ROF with an 11.1 Lipo. Also, are you running deans ultra plugs on your battery and gun? that will help efficiency and ROF a lot...
yeah, i know lol...I was just checkin :P And youre right...the wiring is terrible in them. Even the CA g36 has horrible aneorixic wiring...i went up to 12 ga wiring in it...whooo lots better. Any connection you can hardwire out the better :P
KWA is quality. Would have saved time from upgrading the gearbox and the money spent on it. What I said wasnt crit. your review or video I was just pointing out that KWA has superior airsoft guns which dont need upgrades to take LIPO, and yes volt is not the only thing you should look at MAH even though thats the amount of time you can use it affects it some. Buy a RA Tech 11.1V or 7.4V 1600mah 15C
Bought all the upgrades and sights/scopes at RSOV.
A quick rundown of the upgrades:
1)Element Full Tune up kit: New gears are a waste of money, the original JG Gears are just as good. The polycarb piston, ball-bearing spring guide and shim set was good though.
2) Large handguard, To fit the Lipo battery. The original is better quality. Still worth it to get LiPo firepower though :-)
3) Element barrel. Mine decreased accuracy. Now I have a Mad Bull one instead. Much better IMHO.
awesome. i like the fact that i hear the piston more than the motor. if i can get that gear and motor noise down the i could silence the pop of the piston easy. i'm about to get a jg mp5sd6 and i'm planning on making the silencer functional. but if my motor is yelling then whats the point, right? i'm a stealthy one-shot-kill kinda guy so i don't wanna expose my position. thanks for responding.
what did u do to make ur g36c so quiet or did it just come that way? i'm tryin to find ways to reduce the sound of the gearbox and i'm not having very much success. any help will be appreciated. thanks.
Reshimmed, lubed with white lithium grease and changed the gears for element ones (though I feel that the JG original gears where just as good as the "upgrade" ones). I really dont think that it got all that much quieter from this though. It's probably mostly down to a crappy microphone on the camera :-).
Um i hav the jg m4 non ris version enhanced and i was wondering if it was lipo ready?

I also have JG G36C, although I just got it and haven't really done any upgrading. Although i do have two quick questions for you;
What sight do you have?
And how does the original flashider come off?
Thanks

Interesting, i took an M110, Magnum Motor, and a 9.6v battery and am getting a greater ROF...
bmil69 2 years ago
However, i did also replace the bushings with KA ones and reshimmed it, along with throwing in a Systema piston set and speed gears...
overall, worth it.
bmil69 2 years ago
and with this, you don't actually damage your gears...! with a too high battery you damage them :S

@sprayart: anything without magnification.
@imeatinpoo: YES! Make a lot of difference and the V3-box handles the ROF just fine.

Or if you mean FPS which is feet per second.

meters per second.

110m/s is pretty much the stock speed of the gun.
I strongly recommend reshimming and fixing the lube on the mechbox, but other than that you shouldn't have any problem using a LiPo battery.
IIICruentusIII 2 years ago
I like That very Much
did you have to get a new mech box casing so it can handle it or is the casing stock?
MaximusPrimeAirsoft 2 years ago
The casing is stock.

ETKSauron 3 years ago
Yup, deans plugs for the battery. But there is a second set of plugs by the hopup that I havent replaced..
I think the original wiring is one of the main bottle necks, the motor wires are quite skimpy.
I use the same batteris in a R85 and aTM MP5k with similar ROF. Havent had an official ROF check.
This is not a "look at my cool gun blah blah" video. It is just a run off the mill gun with new batteries.
IIICruentusIII 3 years ago
yeah, i know lol...I was just checkin :P And youre right...the wiring is terrible in them. Even the CA g36 has horrible aneorixic wiring...i went up to 12 ga wiring in it...whooo lots better. Any connection you can hardwire out the better :P
ETKSauron 3 years ago
Just because its a 11.1volt it doesnt have to be a monster ROF. Its more then the volt that counts to get high ROF.
The battery he has in the video its a 15C so, the ROF is pretty good to be that sort of battery.
Poyjs 2 years ago
