  • Is that a berg larsen I see on there?

  • @hydekins2 looks more like a Otto Link to me cause of the singl big screw under it.

  • the drummer <3

  • very nice ! ですね.

  • Very years without seeing Ronnie... life run too speed. Thank's Ronnie.

  • got to love that 3:15 long lick

  • On it???

  • the lick cuber plays at 1:00 gets me every time.

  • Far and away the best Bari player on the planet

  • either him or Peppy the Knife...

  • bilo bi lijepo kad bi roni dosao ponovo...ali ovaj put da sa njim bude i steve gadd.....ili jos neko od zivih clanova the gadd gang-a....edi gomez ili kornel dupri....

  • Ronnie and my hometown hero, Nick Brignola, rule the Bari!

  • what about Denis diblasio, i just saw him?

  • All three of them are so underrated and are not recognized for their musical talent. If more people would listen to Nick, Denis, and Ronnie they would like them all in an instant.

  • I know he's dead, but don't forget Harry Carney!

Sophiticated Lady is one of the best Bari features ever!

  • does any one know the mouth peice that the legend is using. otherwise THIS SONG IS ABOVE OTHERS!!!

  • It's a Fancois Louis Custom, he also uses Rico Orange box reeds on a Selmer Mark IV

  • for a while he used an Otto Link 8* with the Rico Orange box reeds, then he used a metal mouthpiece when he did moanin' from charles mingus (strongly recommended), and then his legendary Francois Louis.

  • I just LOVE Ronnie's tone and sound, I wish I could sound just like him. And to Finiero, I have his solo transcription for Moanin, from the Live in Times Square album, holy crap, I know it sounded amazing, but seeing on paper gives you a seizure, it's really technicle. Also, did anyone here the Land of 1000 Dances reference at 2:57?

  • you have a transcription of his Moanin solo? OH my GOD I'm jealous. That is my dream-come-true solo to play.

  • Sweet! I gotta transcribe that solo!

  • Just amazing!!!!

  • who else is in the band....great!

  • As stated in the video description: Baritone saxophonist Ronnie Cuber leads a quartet at the Novisad Serbia Jazz Festival in Serbia on 15 November 2007, playing Horace Silver's "Filthy McNasty." Joining Ronnie are pianist Kenny Drew Jr., drummer Steve Johns and bassist Ruben Rodriguez.

  • Is it just me or did anyone else hear the Hatian Fight Song by Charles Mingus reference at 3:41????? sickness

  • I heard a vague reference to it but I don't think it was Kenny's intention to quote it, just a similar lick

  • I don't know if he is the pianist on that track, but he is a regular memberof the mingus big band...

  • wow!!!!!!!! so amazing

  • Alright, who heard the Sanford and Son theme song at 3:09? AWESOME!

  • yes, sanford and son quote by pianist during solo at that point. good catch.

  • Love the natural comping of Kenny Drew junior- pure excellence!

  • bloooody amazin!

  • the pianist's comping was really intrusive, but ronnie as always was incredible.

  • Your the reason why i want to continue playing jazz and major in music!

  • Ronnie is the master! I hope I will ever get the chance to see him perform live.

  • Cuber rocks

  • What a Pianist!

  • Cuber is the funkiest! Not that he can't swing, but he KILLS on this stuff!

  • @KevvieG he plays 8/8 , so does drums

  • @valvetrom

I'm not sure I get what you mean? Cuber plays drums?
