The music in the film was wonderful...but I thought this was written by that idiot ...I don't know...what's his name...Burt Bachorach or one of those awful ELEVATOR MUSIC guys. Or maybe he borrowed the Romeo & Juliette theme and made a "HIT" out of it? You know the song I'm talking about?

@Aryanor86 - Thank you for the info. Many years ago, my very first girlfriend adored this soundtrack and would play it over and over again. We broke up a year later but the soundtrack to this movie is particularly haunting. I remember the nuanced layers of sound throughout the album. The intermittent dialogue, the sound of church bells and barking dogs in the distance captured a time and place. This soundtrack is genius. However, I must say...I do not like the MUSAK accompanying this video.

Первый и единственный раз смотрел это фильм в 1977 году - мне было 15 лет - Ромео и Джульетта тогда были для меня ровесниками - на всю жизнь фильм , музыка , главные герои оставили неизгладимое впечатление .

@alkiss5, а я смотрела впервые всем классом в начале 70хх , в старинном кинотеатре, похожем на средневековую церковь. Потом никогда не видела пока не стали выпускать и как по заказу, вдруг 35 лет спустя я покупаю иду как завороженная домой, запираю двери, затемневаю окна в предвкушении тех первых незабываемых ощущений 13-летнего подростка.
