  • And they called it guppy love......

  • Whoever started the betta convo:

You know, I have never head problems with bettas attacking my guppies. Now, they are really bad about eating the BABIES if you don't have enough ground cover, but I have yet to see a betta pick any of my other fish. (Platies, cory cats, plecos, neon tetras, a severum, and honey gouramis) But hey, I don't doubt what you're saying at all. :P

  • @ rarrin9378 that's a lie and they are siemese

  • Youtube is for VIDEOS. For pictures only, use another site.

  • @jjjtubo Not really... This is called a slideshow... -.-""" Wow....

  • 1:41 they look like dead fish

  • keep all the other species of fishes well fed and they will all get along. don't bother to buy overpriced water treatments or pills. do what nature does! change one tenth of the water out with fresh every week. find and use a gravel siphon!! What kills more mosquitoes than all the DDT that was ever hosed on our earth? GUPPIES!

  • I want a blue Guppy!! And a green one!!

  • i dont have anymore guppies cuz my mommy guppy had babies then ate them...wut the hell is the mommys point?

  • Now that's a unique video. I like it.

  • magnifique guppies

  • Some of the coolest fish ever.

    Gar

  • nicee guppies i'm going to try to buy a couple of these!

  • beautiful guppies, do they get along with a betta fish?

  • @xJeNitExD They should.

  • @tessalia87 Not.....

  • @tessalia87 nope not true cuz beta fish will kill any fish they see...even another betta fish! :( sorry 4 tha bad news

  • @tessalia87 but they don't. the betta fights them because they look a bit like other bettas.

  • @tessalia87 Betta's kill anything you put in the tank with them. That's why there called chinese fighting fish

  • @xJeNitExD a betta fish will attack them..well it only depends if the betta is really aggresive enough to kill a fish..=)

  • @thojclan really, it is a 97% chance that male bettas will kill any male guppy they see.

  • @xJeNitExD No, they don't! The males will think they're bettas and attack them because of their tails!

  • @xJeNitExD no they don't because guppies would bug the betta cuz they're fast swimmers and bettas are not.. and plus the betta will attack anything thats flashy.. and guppies have flashy tails.

  • @xJeNitExD they don't. It will be very likley that the betta will stress them to death, since the betta hates their big .. uh.. tail? I dunno, I don't speak english XD

  • @xJeNitExD I have heard not, as they are fancy tailed.

  • @xJeNitExD I'm pretty sure keeping any fish with flashy tails (like guppies) together with male bettas is not advisable. Because the male betta fish might think of them as competition and hurt them.

  • @xJeNitExD in my opinion not because guppys got long fins betas gonna think its a other beta fish and kill them

  • @xJeNitExD Betta fish may attack them. Especially if they have bright colors and huge tails. That'll make them easily mistakable as betta fish.

  • @xJeNitExD If you have a betta don't put guppies in with it. Bettas will most likely act agressivly towards it, and you might have a guppy floating at the top of your tank the next morning or a few days later.....

  • @xJeNitExD they probably wont just to let u kno but i cant rly say tht with all fish cause some do, some dont.

  • @xJeNitExD What-? That was stupid!

  • @xJeNitExD no they dont. i tryed and the guppy died

  • @xJeNitExD

never house a betta with anything else! I asked my local fishstore owner if certain things could go with bettas (chinese upside down catfish being one) and it was nothing but a bad experience. My betta killed smaller fish, and the catfish killed the betta (they were the same size)

  • @xJeNitExD It depends on the betta, but usually no. They are fine with female, but with males bettas, the males that have really big beautiful tales might be mistaken for competition, so they might fight.

  • @xJeNitExD unless theire tail is big and flamboyant the betta will mistake the fancy guppy for another betta

  • @xJeNitExD NO fish gets along with a beta, They eat anything you put in the tank with them

  • i want vid idiet

  • lol that little bit was kinda creepy, but thise are some super nice tails

  • i got 6 guppies,1 suckermouth catfish and 2 sucker fish...1 guppy died abt 1 hour after i put in in my tank,my catfish died like 10 mins later, and in the morning i found out 3 guppies died...so now i got 2 guppies and 2 sucker fish...:/

  • the one whit the blue thail is awsome

  • i bought 4 guppies several months ago n now i only have one left and it's going strong, i hope!

  • i had three of my guppies die so i put the them in my other tank then i tested tank for ammonia and thats what was killing my fish so a got some thing called nutrafin cycle and now my fish are doing fine.

  • @arcanineeevee The bigger the tank, the better.

  • @tessalia87 there in a 20 gallon

  • @tessalia87 The size of your tank doesn't help against an ammonia spike, nor does it speed up getting to the point it is in biological equillibrium (cycled).

  • @arcanineeevee cycle is a con, once u start using it your tank becomes dependent on it. the bacteria organisms in it die off when you stop using it which can crash your tank and throw you back into a mini cycle, a good product to use is seachem prime. have a read up on it. my local petshops dont stock so i order offline. much better than cycle, and doesnt throw your tank!! nutrafin cycle is pricey and a big money maker for petshops as you have to keep buying it!! ;)

  • my two female guppies i got yesterday both of their stomachs are swollen and white. one died this morning and the other doesnt seem very well. could this be a tape worm or a parasite of some description.

  • @liamgray100 I don't know. You might want to ask whoever you got them from. If it was a pet store, they should refund your money.

  • @tessalia87 thank you ill try it

  • @liamgray100 If you have just introduced 2 pregnant females to your tank then they will die from stress and add salt to your aquarium it helps fight of parasites

  • @liamgray100 your guppies died because u propably didnt let them get used to the ph in the water.remember the ph in the water u bought them in and the ph in ur tank is different so u have to add ur tank water slowly to the water of the fishies every ten minites to let them get used to it,and their bellies where swollen cause they where pregnant :)

  • @liamgray100 or pregnancy...

  • i love these fish think ive had every 1 there is out there in colour size

  • ah no way well unfortunitly iv had another two die over night il be left with a tank of water next

  • @keithie31 I have better luck with my betta. After 12 months, he's still going strong.

  • The only thing that has killed any of mine is my turtle. I recomend getting your water tested at a loval fish shop. Big Als does this free, just bring a sample of your water.

  • @keithie31 are you doing water changes? you should do atleast a ten percent water change every week also make sure your declorinating your tap water! and make sure your not cleaning your filters out under tapwater! the best thing to do is to take a cup of water to your local fish store and ask them to test it they will tell you whats wrong.

  • quick question we have 12 guppies and over the last week we have had 5 die water was checked and it was perfect temp is 27 but still have had deaths any answers??????????

  • @keithie31 Unfortunately, I don't have any answers on this. The same thing happened to me when I thought I was doing everything right. I gave up and stopped keeping guppies.

  • @keithie31 27 degrees?? if so, they need heat, and my temp is at 80 b cuz they are tropical. also do you have filter? iif you do not, you need one because they need air supply

  • [pervert]

    lol

  • hey!!

    how big does guppies grow??

are they really small beacause the video of big mama guppy is really big???

  • Only about an inch and a half long. These shots are magnified.

  • i had 3 male guppies in a 15 gallon tank for about 2 months and the red one just disapeared . i cant find him anywhere?

does anyone know what might have happend?

  • It has happened to me many times and I have never found them even after completely emptying the tank

  • It probably died and was eaten by the other fish in your aquarium.

  • @drhouse56789 Lemme tell you this from expiernce. When you find dead parts of it you know what happened to them. They were eaten and torn up

  • i have 57 Guppys.. i love!!!!!!!

  • psycho video .i will dont sleep tonight :-)

  • i like 1:22

    so cute

  • süper

  • check out babys i have cucatz13

  • i like :58

  • lol i have 3 guppies too. 2 male and 1 female, just got them today

  • that happend to me!! only two survived and then the other died about an hour after it was born and the other one just died this morning after a year.

  • if a guppy gives birth does the mother die? on the second day plz replay thanx one last thing do they die very fast? ? ? ? ?? plzzzzzz answer

  • umm no not all the time it depends how big the babies are and how healthy the mom is. take it from me my guppies have given birth about 13 times!!!

  • no the mothers do not typically die. actually once mated a female can give birth to multiple pregnancies afterwards with no male. they store the sperm I guess it's WEIRD.

  • they die vEry fast

  • They were already pregnant when I brought them home. I collected about 40 babies seperated into 2 tanks. Despite doing everything right by the book, something went wrong and all of them got sick and eventually died.

  • how did u manage to breed wild guppies with fancy guppies? my wild female guppies bite the tails off of the male fancy guppies and kill them. and some got pregnant but just regular babies. help plz. thank you ; )

  • how do u get wild guppies??? cause i wanna know

  • Mine came from the pet store.

  • k thn

  • The femailes are wild.

  • im just wondering are these guppies mixed with wild guppies? because the colours look sooo cool =D

  • 1:04 is a guppy for food for big fishes in philippines we call that canal fish they live in canals

  • Beautiful guppies!

  • Guppies are Beautiful!

  • i have a pair of guppy, is it okay if i joined another type of fish in their aquarium???????

  • Oh definetely, like the corydora species, they are bottom feeders and peaceful that eat left overs. Also In my tank i have RCS Shrimp and they do fine, even my juvenile is around and about.

  • very nice

  • sweet!

  • colorful fish but some can look ugly in shape specialy the preggy females

  • I've got 2 Guppies will they breed one of them is female and the other is a male, they've been chasing each other. can they?

  • they should start producing fry and they give birth at least once month they tend to eat the young but some survive get some kind of rocks or fals plants so they can hide or build a stack of slate shelves with litle tunnels

  • aaw thanx i cant wait untill i have a pregnant guppy i just hope the fry survive.

  • I recommend two fremales per male, because the male will run the female around and stress her out. I leanrned this the hard way. The male will chase her around and it will eventually kill her.

  • I want to breed guppies i got one blue oen i think is a male wt size do they need to be and how many males an d females do i need how lnog till i expect one to get pregnate?

  • you´ve got beauty fish!

  • cool clip!

  • 1 pregunta yo puedo meter un pez guppys con un pez cometa?¿?¿'

  • ok.. nice pics.

  • i am trien to breed mi guppies wat do u think i should do

  • nothing just make sure u have a male and 3 females and when they do give birth they might try to eat them

  • Cool guppies

  • ohhhhh caralhos ta fodam....

  • are these warm or cold water fish?

  • There tropical (warm water but not salted)

  • i had a show quality guppy and my stupid angel bit his tail of and now he has a torn up tail.......

  • *

comment on my guppy vid =)

    *

  • wait...why did you take a picture o its eye

  • can gfuppies have babies twice???

  • of course..

  • Your males definitely have endler in them.

  • Hmm.. i'm trying to breed Guppies i havn't had fish for like 3 years.. none of them died yet.. feeding them very nicely.. And i got a female Guppy with a hudge stomache ( bought her yesterday ) and she has no dark spot =/ any idea?!

    PS...

I got a free snail, came with the real life plant!!!

  • ..getting snails with plants is usualy bad thing, the ones that are on the plants ( the small round ones) breed (and poo) like mad, and eat up all your plants.

  • well said! :D you ave to squish them on the glass (Y)

  • yeah thats one way, but the best way is to get fish like loaches that eat snails, or simply just pick the out. squashed snail isnt nice to look at! i wouln't recommend medication as it can upset the biological balance and (often) contains copper which kills of shrimps.

  • I thaught it was good, then it was 1 to 2 to 4 to 30 to like 200. Its not fun unless you keep them under control

  • You've captured their color very well!

  • beautiful fish colors

  • thats right punkrocker1012,hey i love that blue one

  • very nice looking fish :)

  • very nice

  • I love the one with the tiger tail :)

  • nice guppies-do you breed them? would love to get a blue tailed one-hes gorgeous

  • Sadly I couldn't keep them alive longer than a few weeks. I had them in a ten gallon tank, followed all the rules on water quality and still couldn't keep them alive. Just bad luck I guess.

  • that's what used to happen to mine years ago so I stopped keeping them-read there was a protozoan making a lot of guppies die so I treat them all for that now when I get them-seems to work for a lot of people so give it a try if you decide to get more!

  • also maybe your tank ph levels were diffrent than the ph levels in the stores tank

maybe you should try drip netting if you didn't do that

  • Great Vid....

    they're colours are like fingerprints.

  • they love being in photos dont they

  • how beautiful they are!especially the one with blue tale

  • whoa those are some hot females lol

  • nice colors on ur guppies

  • yes , cool vedio x)

  • nice!

  • They are lovely colors. Thanks for sharing. :)

  • Thank you so much!

  • Excellent,Excellent work. Captivating music and your photographs 'moving'. Loved the ending,I like the unexpected. *****x*****
