  • from Jeff Bagwell to Lance Berkman to Brett Wallace...the future is here in Houston GO ASTROS

  • WHY DID AA TRADE WALLACE FOR GOSE!!! I want him! BAD MOVE!

  • Better than watching Kevin Millar play first though. He will be a proven bat but the speed is a little concern and hopefully he'll turn into a 1B. You don't know about Holliday though because he was a big dud in Oakland and an MVP in St. Louis. You don't know which you'll get. Wallace though will probably become a good .300 30 HR 100 RBI man with average defense. I'd compare him to Jim Thome. Welcome to T.O Wallace.

  • taylor is an outfielder why would u convert an athletic good defensice outfielfer to first? toronto wants wallace cuz he can rake to and his natural position is 3b/ 1b(more likely) and they feel like hes going to be a better hitter in the mlb based on his patience at the plate, and he may be a bit thick but athats jsut all the mroe reason to bomb some centerfield bommbs babby wooo welcome to toronto wallace.

  • @GRowNiceProductions Taylors also 6'6 260lbs, I seriously doubt he projects long term as an outfielder. i'm callin it right now that he has major knee surgery three years in. his position though isn't what i'm worried about, and absolutely anybody can learn patience. I'm concerned the Jays may have sacraficed a high-average powerbat for a high-average, average power bat...see the difference. scouts differ on their abilities 50-50 when it comes to hitting.

  • @GRowNiceProductions I think Wallace could mature into a powerhitter granted he cuts 60lbs of fat and put back on 35 in muscle. because his mechanics are gorgeous

  • Agreed, though i think your underrating his power potential. Hes hit just as many hr as Taylor while at a younger age in the minors this season, plus also did better then Taylor did in AAA where taylor hit 282, and wallace hit 302 with basically the same amount of bombs. I have no problem with Wallace losing some of his fat and gaining sum muscle, the fitter the better i say...

  • @GRowNiceProductions his power doesn't transfer to thd majors as well as taylors does. taylors far more raw with more power while wallace is more refined with more contact. he weighs the same as taylor too and hes less athletic. so he needs to watch his weight and cut some serious pounds.

  • P.S. Wallace reminds me of a more polished Travis Snider, though with slighty less power but a better contact hitter, and obviously not as fit or athletic as snider

  • @GRowNiceProductions less power yes, better contact no. he does look alot like snider but travis has a nicer bat. hes going to be special

  • @GRowNiceProductions if i were the jays i would get him with a dietian immediately and set him up a personal trainer. if he can slim down and add muscle he could develop into a serious power threat because his mechanics are so good . like willie mays, alfonso soriano, hank aaron or a rod. being fat doesn't convert to power, mechanics and tone strength do.

  • i'm a litte weary. taylor can rake just as well and could probably play 1st, which is where Toronto will use him. i'm not so sure

  • pretty good. Matt Holliday, boo ya

  • hes on my team now but id rather have holliday

  • i cant believe they got rid of him

  • The only thing Wallace is known for is his bat. Wallace is younger but I'd rather have a proven MVP caliber bat in Holliday.

I'm not even a Cards fan, just stating the facts.
