Man or Astroman? - Interstellar Hardrive

  • Waaaay cool.....had one stuck to my tongue the entire song!

  • best. shit. ever. (:

  • cannot. believe. how awesome. this is.

  • We need a 90's revival. Cheap sci-fi movies, Space Ghost, Mystery Science Theatre, aliens...

The 2000's blew. The 2010's need more Plan 9 and less Facebook.

  • Are they saying, "Don't test me again with a 9-Volt tongue?" Reminds me of the tongue-test on a 9 volt to see if it's still good.

  • Mosrite guitars, sweeet!

  • Starcrunch always reminds me of Angelos Epithimiou.....

[He's a British comedy character if you're wondering!]

  • Man or Astro-man?-Mix YouTube PLAYLIST 40 Videos

    ??? OMG, is this el-quaida 2.0 ???

  • ...definitely Astroman!!!

  • The only bands which dragged a Tesla-Coil onto stage during their performance. I saw it life in Aachen, Germany in an old WW2 bunker ca. 1995. One of the best concerts ive been too.

  • @nethead4223 also the only band i've seen to drag an old dot matrix printer onstage as well...

  • On their next visit to planet earth I promise to harbour them in my basement apartment.

  • i like this band so much!!! (Y)

  • Love them too!!!!

Bowing down to the Tesla Coil!!!! WTF???

  • get ur arse back to portugal.

  • kick ass!!

  • Like the whole DEVO influence going on around here.

  • THEY HAVE REUNITED!

  • going to see them tomorrow

  • this song reminds me of the jimmy neutron theme song

    i wonder why....

  • can there be such a thing as too much sci-fi themed 90s surf punk?

  • not at all

  • @legarageraj - The answer is NO

  • @legarageraj Nope

  • @legarageraj no my friend there isn't

  • @legarageraj

I don't believe this qualifies as punk

  • @cannabischarlie

Some of my friends did qualify MOAM as Punk-Related too. I too thinks its nonsense.

  • @legarageraj NO !, repeat as necessary

  • schön!

  • Man or astroman? Definitely Astroman!!!

  • I listen to these guys whenever I have to do studying/homework in one of my science classes. Totally sets the mood.

  • lol!!!

  • I am totally writing notes for my separations method class right now!

  • 1st. motionsgraphics don´t call ian curtis an emo hero. i´m gonna find out where u live and gonna kill you. he was a dark wave hero, no one though that days on emo. and 2nd. man or astroman r surfpunk and not emo. emo at this time is fallout arseholes and stinkin fart. man or astro and ian curtis had been never to emo and will b never to emo.

  • he's not talking about modern day emo. 90's is a completely different sounding thing. check out make believe, cap'n jazz, and joan of arc.

  • I thought Ian Curtis was an Emo hero. These guys aren't emo btw.

  • @dulouz007 *facepalm*

  • M o A = the best live band ever. I wish they would get back together for at least a years worth of dates.

  • Way cool ! I'm Geekin' out !

  • i still would like to know who stole my man or astroman album collection. i will murder that person when i find out.

  • goddd these guys fukken rule

  • Wow, where have all these great bands gone? It seems like the 90's had all these amazing underground bands and nowadays all that's underground are shitty ass punk/hardcore bands, the world needs more bands like Man or Astro-man.

  • i looks like you don't know much about surf rock

or early indie garage punk bands

  • bonzo was here with nothing too much to say, love the song though,rockonbonzo76!! see the u.s.a. in a chevrolet tunafish on rye with a pickle! w f d u 89.1

  • great song! i never saw the video. thx to post it

  • awesome band. Had the pleasure of seeing them live in germany on their last tour. It's a shame that they aren't together anymore. The world needs more of this in contrast to the crap that's polluting the airwaves these days.

  • Still one of my most favrite bands. Live and from "tape"... I hope some of u guys did enjoy them when they still where messing up the stage with this Tesla-Coil and the best "surf-n-punk-n-geek" sound which was "out there" back in those 90's...

  • The best fun I ever had at a concert was MoA in Tempe AZ.

  • These guys need to come back. Best band ever.

  • @TwigDjango

    NXNE Toronto,june 14-20, 2010

  • @manfromregina Dammit, I live in England. :(

  • @TwigDjango

A good excuse for a holiday, but you'd have"d to go to The Big Smoke,

    Canada,none the less. lol

  • @TwigDjango 100% agreed

  • @TwigDjango totally agree

  • @TwigDjango I see you posted this a year ago, but if you haven't already heard, they are touring again right now, and I'm seeing them tonight!

  • @872463051 Aw dude, awesome! I hope they come to the UK.

  • @TwigDjango THEIR TOURING AGAIN! Merry Christmas.

  • @TwigDjango They played in L.A., Ca. a few months ago, I was double-booked that evening.... I just responded to a comment that's 2 years old.... You probably don't even remember saying it.... except that it's written down...I'd better go....ahem.

  • @goducks20101 Haha, no I remember. Alas, still no UK dates.

  • @TwigDjango No UK dates ??? An outrage I tell you, an outrage !! I'll talk to someone who knows someone who knows someone, repeat ad infinitum. I have a DVD (Time Bomb), check out the website: cherryred.co.uk. It was filmed in 1994 at Castle Rock in Edinburgh, Scotland of all places. A place where no self-respecting UK -er would ever visit, except to rape and pillage the countryside. Cheers to you, Good Sir.

  • @TwigDjango They did a show in Atlanta last year. Unfortunately I missed them, didn't even know they were in town until the day after the show. :(

  • @TwigDjango Agreed!

  • Finally got to ripping thier music from records to CDs.....

  • their drummer is a genius

  • Cool song.

  • I like this which CD should I get ?

  • experiment zero

  • easily experiment zero...you can go anywhere from there but by law you MUST start there

  • you can start and end at Destroy All Astromen!

  • A huevo puros churros espaciales!!!!

  • Man or astroman? According to the music...Astroman! Love this

  • Fuck, you have to love this band, have done for years, new stuff please..................

  • som do caralho!!!!!!!

    muito bom!

  • this is literally the first time i've listened to them ever

    simple music but somehow creative

which is what i like in case people are thinking i don't like them

  • Hell yea man! its like funky surfer rock, minus the surfers :)

  • Saw em open up for Dick Dale in Athens, GA in the Fall of 1993. They almost gave him a run for the money.

    Almost...

  • dick dale is the king, saw him last year in september and he owned the place

man or astroman needs to get back together, i didnt got into them in time, they broke up when i was 9

  • are they ever gonna come back to GA?

  • they broke up.

    i hate my life

  • I am new to these guys but man do they sound primitive but awesome!

  • yea, i saw them around '98 too! the best part was blonde redhead was opening up (before anyone even knew them); even better, the bartenders thought my hot japanese girlfriend (now wife!) was part of the band. : ) she kept getting us free beer all night!

  • ahahaha sweet dude ahaha!

  • what??? by 98 Blond redhead was a pretty well established and prominent indie rock band...they were as big as they ever got to be...

  • now I know where The Phenomenauts got their act from.

  • I saw them in '98. they were so much fun!!

  • this is one of the best surf'n'roll song ever played...with television fixing of the same cd. Really fun but also well played.Really really good stuff

  • finally, after a long time waiting, an awesome band!

  • this whole CD is great. i wish there'd be a video performance of "Anoxia".

  • trippy but freakin awesome

  • this song is savage!!

  • ....do they know Devo?

  • nah.. they invented these devo moves/suits/rythms themselves

  • awesome!!!!!!:P:P

  • Mermaid Love, Bermuda Triangle Shorts, Invasion of the Dragonmen...Man or Astroman? is nothing but explosive.

  • It's "and I can tell a vision" (double meaning, see.. sounds like "television"), buteo

  • Sweet fuckin' band... saw them in Atlanta or Athens... they were throwing out Atari games.

  • Snif snif, saw them 4 times, have to check my fender for some practise

  • Any one have the lyrics? Google was of little help.

  • I know

    You're a real landspeeder

    A magnetic leader

    Set on erase

    Cause I have X-Ray vision

    And like a television

    From the TV phase

  • It's not rocket science

    System complience

    With a shifting eye

    Cause I have X-Ray vision

    And like a television

    From the radio eye

  • I've heard and heard again all the songs you've sung

Seen and seen again all the things you've done

I breathe it all in like oxygen

Don't touch me again with your 9 volt tongue

I've heard and heard again all the songs you've sung

Seen and seen again all the things you've done

It's gonna go up like the atom bomb

Don't touch me again with your 9 volt tongue

  • Thank you.

  • there were so many cool bands back then, todays music sucks. remember dog faced hermans? , thinkin fellers union local 282?, sun city girls ?alice donut? nomeansno? john spencer blues band? crust? those were the fuckin days

  • where the hell've they disappeared to? they used to tour all the time, but it's been the better part of 10 yrs. since i've seen them.

  • cool song, sucky vid.

  • man their music is full of go! wished i could see em live like you fellas.

  • What a band - but they did play in Wales! I'm from Hereford, and made the trip down to TJs in Newport twice in the mid-90s to see them. They were astounding and definitely one of the most exciting live bands I saw round that time

  • i sew man or astro man in brazil (curitiba) and belo horizonte... nice band...

  • one of the greatest live bands i've ever seen. the astro pack wishes yous guys' would return to earth!

  • why cant any other band put old tv's on their heads and set them on fire? I have had more fun at their shows. definately like no other

  • I saw these guys quite a few times in Los Angeles. What a great band and a really fun show!

  • Yeh! they played the UK 2 but me living in North Wales never saw them cos they got off the plane at Heathrow did acouple of gigs in London then fucked off home. Wales isn't just a place of mystics and legends, it really does exist.
