HAHAHA the frog and fish footmen are so energetic. The duchess is a man. Wow. I love the cook, and I enjoy the whole thing. It is amazing. I honestly wish I could do that :)
We are actually working on Alice in Wonderland as a play in my school's Theatre department. I love it and the guy who plays mad hatter in ours is really good. I wish the guys would let us do this(the girls are ALLLLLLLL for it)
Lol the pew face at 14:15 as she turns them around, this is definately avant guarde but not so much like many pieces that they are more contemporary then ballet, I kind of like this.
Fantastic music! Just perfect for this show. Never heard of the composer but he is really something special. I wish I could have a look into the score.
my favorite part in the entire ballet is when the mad hatter tap dances whilst alice is on pointe balancing the hat on her foot! this ballet is just pure genius... i love it
a dança estava linda, com os passos rápidos e mesmo assim feitos com perfeição. os efeitos especiais também contribuíram muito para a beleza do espetáculo.
@llamala2010 it's supposed to look like a mess. it's alice in wonderland with the mad hatter, the dormouse, the queen of hearts; all completely insane characters. it's not the nutcracker with all the dainty fairies in perfect order at the exact angle from each other doing exactly what the others are doing at perfect timing. ballet gives texture and atmosphere by the way it is presented and danced which is why this looks like a bit of a mess, so the audience can feel as confused as alice is
@sophmeister303 - well, personally, I prefer the beauty, elegance, and inspired choreography of ballets like Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadere, Concerto Barocco, or Romeo and Juliet. I don't watch ballet in order to be confused. But to each his own.
@llamala2010 it's supposed to be confusing as in that it's possible to feel like part of the ballet not to be like "wtf?" it would be pretty pointless if this ballet was as gentle as the others. i'm sure many other people here prefer beauty and elegance over raw texture but you shouldn't call it a mess especially as people spent hours choreographing it to give it the insane quality that lewis caroll gave alice in wonderland when it was on paper, but on stage. it's a very difficult thing to do.
@llamala2010 I know. I am disappointed with special effects. If you are going to use a film, why not just watch a film. I watched a ballet to see a ballet. The worse was when I saw Starlight Express and that stopped and a screen came down (along with a bit of a pause and a man telling us to put our 3d glasses on) and we watched a segment on the screen. It totally ruined the atmosphere and made it quite disjointed.
@thedancinggymnast I really thought we were seeing pretty much the audience view of the effects. On that basis, I really thought they were quite clever indeed (I'm basing this largely on being able to see the crew dressed in black either keeping her in motion off the ground or doing things like putting the Chesshire Cat together. Anyone know for sure?
@minissa2009 Yeh I think it is the audiences view of the effects, like startlight express was with the drop down screen. I just don't like it and prefer a stage show without additional effects to watch.
I love how they didnt make the characters the same as the movie, and added new perspectives to all the parts, like how they made the white rabbit rather protective of Alice, making Alice older yet somehow more playful, making the mad hatter a tap dancer, this is a very original ballet, I love it!
I've been looking to rip this to an mp3 xD thanks for uploading! You don't by chance have the clip where the Red Queen/everyone are playing croquet do you? I love the music for that scene
for me, even though i still haven't seen it live, but based on the reviews, i think Alice in Wonderland is successful if compared to the Mr. Worldly Wise ballet commissioned in 1995. and base from the clippings available, i really think this ballet is really good. if i have the chance, i'll go and see the ballet.

1.) That baby must've died of concussion
2.) The Cat was creepy as fuck
3.) Why do I sense romance between the white rabbit and Alice? She's turning him on, that rabbit sure has a boner.
4.) Brown rabbit and mad hatter are gay couple.
I joke, of course. This is the best ballet I've seen in my life...It's super creative, funny, and just so very very very beautiful! =)
