Cheers for posting, going to download msi afterburner later to give it a try, did have a go with nvidia device settings but it the voltage was greyed out
@Foristality hmm i dont remember. because i know just use OC genie. and that brings it to 3.6. but im sorry i dont remember my voltage and multiplier settings. it wasnt much more i know that. are you running the same setup?
@Burkhardt0121 It is very hard to get the 1090T Over 3.9 GHz, its possible to get it to 4GHz but it also depends how much RAM you've got and what voltages you set, I can get my 1100T to 4GHz with 16GB RAM at 1.4500V but if i go even just a little bit higher, to around 4.1 my computer will go very unstable and BSOD, and the more RAM you have the more pressure it will put to your processor, i recomend putting around 1.4500 V And see if that works,
@Burkhardt0121 Aah thank you man!I asked you that because I saw on a video that a guy said he was having serious problem with this, some blue screens when he overclocked some components.I wanna buy this one, thank you ^^
I have to repost my response to this question. the Lucid technology in this board is a flob. the performance gain is next to none. i seriously suggest sli or crossfire.
on soundcloud dotcom/beatz0121 i dont have a lot on there but u can check it out. i make all types of music. my boss doesnt let me release a lot of my music. i work for video copilot
Hey there I recently bought my new rig from newegg, gonna put it together myself.
i5 2500k sandy bridge
p67h2-a2(185 dollar motherboard)
evga gtx 580 superclocked
8gb ram 1600
850w gamer power supply
my question is, how much do you think i can overclcok my gtx 580? would i need to buy another heatsink or fan or w/e you call it? Also how much do you think i can overclock my processer? would I need a bigger power supply than 850 watts? Plz help! thanks you!
hey just watch this video and fallow what i do. your card should be fine with air! just do a stress test and if it fails. just bring it down little by little until it runs stable
If you flash to the ASUS GTX 580 Voltage Tweak BIOS, it will enable you to set your voltages to 1213
It is completely safe to max out your voltages in afterburner, as the gtx 580 has its own safety mechanisms within it to stop you from frying your card.
I've run 1.213 volts for weeks @ 980 Mhz core and 85% Fan during benches and gaming just fine...
It has brought me to a P8000 3dmark 11 score with my Sandy Bridge 2500K OC'd to 4.7
Your limited to the amount of cooling that your system currently is using. The 1090 can go up to 5.5 to almost 6Ghz stable 24/7 using phase not water nor air. If you want to push it change your gear to something that will work to what you want. With minor mod you can also hook up your VC to it pushing it over 1K stable.
Hey I am getting the gigabyte windforce x3 version of this card so should be able to overclock quite a bit. what kind of a fps increase did you see when you overclocked to the numbers you stated in this vid? .
well here is the thing! i increased about 15 FPS in benchmarking. but if your just talking about gaming. i didnt even pay attention because this card just stock runs everything over 60 FPS, except maybe crysis 1 and metro 2033. which will run in the 40-50 range. but you should see 15-20 fps increase maybe even more! just remember to make sure you got those voltages right.
oc genie only bumps it to 3.6. anything over you have to do manually,my cpu fails anything over 3.8. just locks up and turns off. i think it has to do with the cpu lottery. some can handle more then others even if its the same make and model.

Burkhardt0121 11 months ago
Just hit de OC Genie Button on your Board.
Readet, that this board kicks your CPU up to 4,5GHZ.
OC3D sayd, that the board is better than an asus rampage in overclocking the CPU.
