The doucmentary I speak of also has an interview of Peter Davison how Dr Who in the early 80s tried to achieve production values unsuccessfully that would compete with Star Trek. When it talks of William Hartnells regeneration, it shows Patrick Throughton with recorder.
Could someone upload that other Dr Who documentary first broadcast around this time period. It has Tom Baker giving an interview on swings, one of his comments if you believe in the Christian faith I think you can believe anything.
@firstborn1988gorsaga I know the one you mean; he went onto say: '...it's so utterly preposterous.' :) I think it was simply called 'Adventures in time and space' or something, and formed part of BBC2's Dr Who Night, broadcast on either the 13th or the 30th November 1999 if I remember right. I used to have it on VHS but am sure it'll be on here somewhere if you search for 'Dr Who Night 1999'
01:56 it as if he's saying -- i'm maybe but one, but i'm also many, for i have brought friends, while you have none! & thus i'll take on the entire empires of evil, across the universe divide as it were... =)
Doctor Who is without a doubt my all time favorite fictional character...he represents all that is so great about humanity: intelligence, humor, good nature, heroism...but he's an alien. Who simply loves humanity. Simply brilliant, such wonderfully fantastic stuff.
its scary

at 06:15 William Hartnell sounds a bit like Yoda (with the hmm). Suddenly I wonder if George Lucas was a fan of the first doctor

There is no such thing as a bad Doctor because everybody has their own.

A wise man once told me, "There is no new Doctor. There is no old Doctor. There is just the Doctor, in 11 different personalities..."

Wow.
I googled up this info from a forum:
Doctor Who: £10 million per season that's an average of £770,000 per episode.
Star Trek: Enterprise $1.6 million per episode - that's around £800,000.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer was under $1 million per episode.
Battlestar Galactica spends $1 million on its cheapest episodes and up
$4.5 million on its most expensive.
Heroes has $2m per episode.
