  • Paleo Carb up:)

  • hater.

  • LOOOOOL

  • Aragon is a solid researcher, but the figures that show obesity being due to caloric intake increasing equally in all macronutrients strikes me as prima facie false. Sugar is in foods that it was simply -not- in a few years ago.

  • @lazur1 Overall calorie intake > sugar intake

  • @ibmccarthy from a body composition standpoint

  • @Phil0185 If overall macronutrient intake is appropriate then sugar intake isn't worth paying attention to at all.

  • @ibmccarthy but hasn't a high-sugar diet been shown to contribute more to insulin insensitivity than others? And don't high-sugar foods tend to be less anti-oxidant dense, gram for gram of carbohydrate, than sources such as greens and crucifers? By macronutrient ratios alone, in the short term, one's body looks the same. In the medium term, one's body looks the same. In the long term, however, one has aged prematurely and is no longer able to keep up this behavior.

  • Alan Aragon is the best nutritionist on the planet !!!

  • "They picked it off the trees in the paleolithic period"

  • Alan Aragon is the man.
