While I am familiar with several languages, none of them are Chinese, and I'm sure your post was correct. I was just replying to HeroPrinnyDood, who seems (if I understood correctly) to have been confused by the poster's use of the term "Daoist" as opposed to Taoist and Dao as opposed to Tao. I was just trying to clarify that they're the same and both correct.

@IssuniYehudi "Dao" or "Tao" are both Mandarin romanization and pronunciation of the word. This guy is singing in Cantonese, in which case the pronunciation should be "Dō", or "Dou".

He's singing about Taoism and the way of Tao.

Daoism may be another way to say it in certain dialects of China though, so the subtitles may very well be correct.
