  • Future Now!

  • It is the 1960's not 1977!

  • Flight 1000 was the first passenger flight of the 707

  • love it!!

  • Awesome!!!! I love the breaks in the music. What a tune. Nice job.............

  • sensational tune...

  • pampampam panam

  • high class

  • Memories, the old open overheads, etc.

  • ahh beautiful

  • 2:07 Damn big windows...

  • I remember Pam Am

  • i love early FPM.. so smooth.

  • wow first class then looks a lot like some of the better economy class seats now...hmmmm where will we be in 20 years?

  • That airport looks like my own personal hell.

  • You don't see this kind of service on board anymore...unfortunately...OR passengers who act this gracefully and polite!!!

  • that music is hot

  • What a great video! Thanks so much

  • I like that little boy at 5:47 and how he runs and looks up :) So cute :) Is it just me or at kids around that age back then more "innocent" than kids today? It's probably the parenting style and culture that we're around.

  • kids always look sweet to me (most of the time....)

  • By the way, what's the music? Would love to find it on iTunes

  • If you would pay attention to the credits and the text next to the video, it is "First Class '77" by Fantastic Plastic Machine.

  • I did pay attention to the text but didn't fully get it. I get it now. But when I read it, it says "Music video for..." and that preposition "for" seems out of place and I thought of something else. "For" could mean, in this case, "in honour of". The "for" is misused and creates imprecise statements allowing misinterpretation.

    Thank you.

  • @thibaulthalpern fantastic plastic machine

  • @thibaulthalpern Reeeeeeetaaarrrrrrrdddddddddd durrrrrrrrr

  • This isnt 1977

  • I remember when families could go meet Daddy at the gate when he came home. Now you can't go through security without a ticket, and they make you walk through the airport barefoot like a peasant.

  • would u rather have terrist able to get on the plane no issue and get ur flight hijacked and then flown in to the white house or something like that or would ur rather have to walk around like a peasant barefoot nowing ur safe

  • what happens if you don't like the white house

  • no they don't

  • This was in the U.S., right? And that would probably be only domestic terminal because if it was an international arrival, they'd had to pass through customs and immigration.

  • well this is the old days they might of not of had customs or immigration

  • Oh they certainly has customs and immigration back then :)

  • They Probably Skipped It Cause It's Really Boring Watcing Someone Going Through Customs And Immigration.

  • LOL...indeed.

  • I like the video except that when the plane takes off it's an Pan Am and when it lands it's a United. That's a bit disconcerting.

  • It just boggles me the number of people that can't understand this was put together from two different sources of film, and done well after the fact. Was it done that well?

  • Of course I know it's made from different sources of film. But, the author could have try to find another source or blur out the words Pan Am and United. Of course it's from two or more different sources. The criticism here is that the creator/author/producer did not find a way to mitigate the seam that runs between these two films.

  • @wbwolf that amazed me too! !!Just stumbled upon (well actually this showed up in my "Recommended" today. I firstly love the song, and agree, the video is prime as well, but funnily enough, being a civil aviation geek, I have actually watched all the source video in their original format, so I recognize everything that has been used to piece this together! An awesome job. And you're right, some people are just tools.

  • @thibaulthalpern Just thought of an answer for this: Depending on how long the distance of travel is, lets say: Miami-Tokyo, the plane can't stay in the air for a straight 24 hrs because it can't carry that much fuel. The plane will land in another country once it crosses the continent and the passengers will board another plane.

  • What plane is that at 2:31? I'm surprised at how straight and flat the wing is compared to wings of modern jetliners.

  • boeing 707

  • Boeing 707-120 first commercial boeing jetliner in regular passenger service with seating for around 170 passengers.

  • Interesting. I was watching some old footage on BOAC's 707 and found it interesting to note that airport terminal announcements would say "xxx jet service to xxx". It's interesting they wanted to note "jet service". Of course, it was rare back then so I guess it was announced to add to the cachet of flying :) I wonder if that's also why airlines back then used boarding, take off and landing music. I don't hear that any more.

  • I like how back then they could use these pin-up numbers. Nowadays, there's no way to do that AND keep up with the number of flights leaving and arriving.

  • good sound ....i like it

  • De quien es la música? esta muy buena.

  • Ramiro Osorio responde...Fantastic Plastic Machine

  • fantastic plastic machine, el es o mejor dj da actulidad, el es japones(nippon).

  • Amigazo, muchas gracias. Investigué acerca de estos nipones y tienen otros temas muy interesantes. Otra vez gracias.

  • Nevermind the video, this tune is deep.

  • More like First Class 1963.

  • first class 1960

  • Aaaahhhhhh....proof that class once upon a time really existed with US airlines. Great video.

  • Pan Am was not flying any 707's in 77 but nice look back. Thanks

  • PA retired their last 707s in 1980.

  • Remind me NOT to travel back in time.

  • It's more like the late 50's.

  • quite good, but definetly not 77. in 1977 there already were old 747 flying. also quite crazy to mix all the airlines^^

  • getting a pan am boarding pass and going on a united airplane strange

  • Cool, but not '77. Men in hats? More like '62. In 1977, the lobby would be filled with mustached businessmen in sea green or maroon jackets, all carrying Samsonites jam packed with cocaine. The last hippies would camp under the phone booths while newly divorced moms jet off to Acapulco with guys named Wayne. And shag. Shag would be everywhere- running up the walls, over the ceiling, round the toilet. Bits of shag would get in the food. Runways would be closed due to excessive shag.

  • @vulcanaccountant2 lol, write the book bro

  • Taking off with PanAm, and landing with United - In flight transfer maybe? Curtains in the interiors, so it was the early 60s, yet music was 70s porn. Strange vid.

  • Love FPM - great style and this tune is my all time fav!! Props for posting.

  • Different a/c different era ! Lovely video

  • They take off on a 707 and land in a DC-8!!! That's craziness I tell ya.

  • Indeed. Did you catch the switch of airlines, too? I didn't know that PanAm could change their airline to United and jet do DC-8 in flight!!!

  • 707 is beautiful

  • Thank you for the upload!! First Class service was really better!!

  • I wish to be on first class I love going on planes aspesually when it is first coming of ground

  • Yeah this video is nice but uncincronized. The guy buys a ticket at a pan am counter and boards a united dc-8.

  • wow! the boeing 707..Awsome video!

  • Not much security, noone had looked into your ass.

  • Good video but more like 1967 than 1977

  • Check out where a lot of the influnces come from, look at my videos, i have a clip from the film THE FANTASTIC PLASTIC MACHINE FROM 1969 and the movie trailer from a nother surfing film called FOLLOW ME....CRAZY MAN

  • How fanstastic & romantic !

  • cathay pacific is top airline and offers amazing travel for either first, business or economy!

    Fly in Style¬¬!!

  • Even coah was better than what first class is now from on some airlines.

  • That was first class. Now first sucks. Only junk food, poor champagne or Wines. Except Singapore's or Cathay but for how long. Looking forward to have my private jet. Bravo for this wonderfull video!

  • wow,,, a real retro!:O but i think the music doesn't suit the video..

    still Tomo, u're awesome!;D

  • I can't believe this video is really existing. Not only that this song is AWESOME. The Vid is like the title suggests pure 70s style, amazing! Thank so much for the upload.
