I've been playing with this exposure settings for a few months whenever I shoot outdoor. As
ElClerko said that it is about +1EV..... or not....
If I put it back to my computer right away and check the pictures after I shoot and to compare with the actual scene. The brightness is identical. No doubt about it. However about 50% of the objects got washed out. Mostly are white (bright) colour objects. The blue sky will be washed out for sure.
First, you need to read our channel profile information where it states clearly all comments require approval from one of us, no need to comment multiple times.
Second, you need to watch the video again because it says B.D.E. is the best in mornings and evenings, not in harsh afternoon sunlight... That is why you do not get acceptable results.
Is the len hood really necessary? I have my len with UV filter, but i do not have the len hood? for D70, should i also set to 1/250s, F/8, and ISO200 also?
Any lens you own MUST have a hood on. People argues hood don't do anything - wrong, hood prevents ghosting and flaring that is caused by the sunlight. No matter what if it's a 50 years old lens, it still need a hood attached.
Yes, the D70 doesn't have ISO 100 so use the ISO 200 option for 1/250s at F/8, Direct Sunlight WB.
lovely tutorial.. thx mate! keep it coming.. i own a d90 :)

Yes, D200's ISO 100 is real and you could use 1/125s at F/8, ISO 100. :)
