  • Ah this my joint!!

  • I thought blackstreet sang it. But then again last time i heard it was in 95' I believe.

  • Oh. I so remember this song, I used to love this growing up and not mention it was in and on Jason's Lyric sdtrk

  • this was the worst song on the album, but the G funk thing was so big at the time, so they made this the first single.

  • i think this group was underrated but i think they would have done better is they had a better group name, not many people would think of a hiphop group and htink white head brtothers almost sounds like a kkk kind of name. love the song though kinda pissed its not on itunes

  • @24Scotian naw...

I thought they were another group of Brothers

And they are Black men also.

  • Joint Still Rocks... like its Brand New! ;-)

  • saw them in concert with Warren G in Sheffield Uni, UK in the 90s. Had a ball!

  • @zultaurus did you get any pics?

  • can not believe i forgot all about this song...

  • missin the 90's

  • Great memories!!!!!

  • Nice track!!!!! ol'skool

  • flashbacks to Wolverhampton Civic Hall back in the 90's...I saw them supporting Adina Howard or Warren G...sooo long ago. Good times tho.

  • love this song!

  • I knew Total sampled this joint. But I didn't know this was orignally Randy Crawford.Wow.

  • To be fair, the only part of this that was originally by the legend thatis Randy Crawford, is the opening line "Streetlife, it;s the only life I know."

  • Old skoooool. Love it

  • thats that shit!!! ths song is hard i still got a cassette with this recorded on it lol

  • @deliverybrant i got the Json's Lyric soundtrack and it's lik track #2. best song on the cd

  • sorry asshole! the best song on the jason's lyric soundtrack was " Crazy love" by Brian McKnight, followed by "if you think youre lonely now" by KC

  • @BootyButterPi Well why was this the second song on the LP after Black Men United 'You Willl Know'? ... And their record label Motown didn't even put this soundtrack out, Mercury did and Brian Mc Knight (who did Black Men United with D Angelo) was on Mercury! Don't call Whitehead Bro Fans assholes! P.S. You compare that attempt at a Van Morrison remake to an epic song like 'Forget I Was A G'? ... Stay out of the crack house ButtPie!!

  • there was a hot azz remix to this....anyone seen it on here?

  • Still Got This On Vinal :) Woop Woop 5* From Me

  • still remember the words

  • the first verse is so ill...the way he starts off "street life is the only life i know..."

  • Yeah......borrowed from the legend Randty Crawford's named "Street Life" hit...fact.

  • The 90's are the Golden Years ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • True Story

  • u mean the platinum years

  • @suaverepresentin You aint never lied. this shit today, is just that, SHIT!!

  • *sighs for the 90s*

  • G funk baby...

  • this song fit the movie Jason's Lyric very well.

  • those guys belong to the underrated hip hop artists

  • I agree. the music from the 70's, 80's, and 90's music is much better than today's music. today's music sucks.

  • @jigglegirl60 YEP YOU WILL NEVER FIND A TIMELESS SONG FROM 2000 ON.. 70'S, DISCO.. 80'S ROCK AND RAP..., 90'S SET A TONE FOR THAT TYPE OF MUSIC.. ARTISTS USED THIER OWN INSTRUMENTS, HAD THERE OWN MUSIC.. NO COPYING.. GREAT ERAS OF MUSIC.......

  • This is on the Jason Lyric soundtrack...i love this song, whatever happen to them? i got to look them up on myspace or google...it's that 90's flava of r&b u don't hear no more...what a gotdamn shame!!

  • TIn the 1990's there was lots of 1 hit wonders because if you wanted to be in the top you shit had to be real tight. nowadays artists know their music will sell before released because of their names. Back then pure talent and their was ;lots of it due to the competitiveness of the game. But back then their was a lot of Bull sh*t from the industry dropping black artists.

  • they were two hit wonders dude. 187 goes so hard

  • Not the best example for what you're saying! They never got dropped and I've seen the younger bro producer kenny Whitehead's name on a number of production and writing credits! I think people play the backround sometimes and some people think they fell off if they aren't being immensely promoted. Even their other songs that haven't been promoted well, were considered hits by many! Besides '187', there's 'Sex on the Beach' and 'Beautiful Black Princess', just to name a couple more!

  • Still have the cassette tape.....

  • DAMMMMMMMM i love his voice at 2:47 so HAWT

  • what's a G? o.O

  • yo where can a brotha download this song, i needs this in my life? limewire wont bring it up and a nigga cant afford to be spending in a recession

  • please, scientists invent a time machine!!...i wanna go back to the 90s when everybody seemed carefree, things weren't so damn expensive and you could really feel the music...so far the 00s suck!

  • I wish i could give your comment more thumbs up...

  • well said!! I wanna go too!!!!
