  • wath amp you use ?¿'

  • Buy a camera man '--

  • 0:09 ! msn !

  • Dont play with pick XD

  • @WRCreedRS fml how many people gona say this ? id only been playing like not even 5 months here, give noob me a break...

  • @calummorris1993 : i'm playin 5 months too and i'm playin it even 10 times better

  • @calummorris1993 if u have only been playing for 5 months u dont deserve a les paul

  • @calummorris1993 Lolll after three month i was playing the hole song easily with the solo and the no picking parts lolll but your not on the wrong way.......just practice no pick and then youll be able to do it!

  • nothing else matters is better play all the song (etcept solo) whit fingers

  • the guitar is good but u play it bad

  • The clean sound check makes SUCH a nice change from almost all the other demos I've seen for this guitar in which the emphasis is usually upon extreme distortion and grunge. It's useful to hear that this underrated instrument is just as useful for clean jazz styles or even country as it is for metal.

  • you think they are still making your guitar?? i wanna get it

  • @mdragon96 ya :)

  • are those pickups actually different from the standard model special 2 or do they just come with covers on em?

  • I need help!!!

I am a beginer and I want to buy an electric guitar.

    what to buy?

an Squier Bullet Strat HSS w/ Tremolo

or ephiphone Les Paul Special 2

  • @TheMacfilms both guitars are great!!

i have them both guitars and i would tell you to buy the epiphone les paul special 2.!!

i cant say the the squier is not bad but i think tha the epiphone is a bit better..!!this is my opinion..

  • Comment removed

  • Your supposed to hand pick nothing else matters

  • gettin the same one in about a week

  • Wow, this thing sounds better than I thought.

  • What amp r u using?

  • changed the humbuckers? nice man

  • ur playing is ok... how long have u played?

because in my opinion that is not a sound testing song... its easy, but you might want to try something high and something low... an easy 1 would be sweet child o mine, but other than that i see that it is a good test, and you keep practicing

  • there? probably like 3 months. now... over 2 years.

  • Nothing Else Matters Nice bro 5*

  • Is this guitar heavier than others, say G310, G400?

  • yes, theyre both SG's... SG's are designed to be lighter

  • @Jincheker the Special II's have a little plate thing right above the neck if it say "Special II" its Chinese if it says "Gibson" it American and its not to much of a heavy guitar

  • @TheAerosmith3 umm the one that says gibson is the Special, just special the Special 2 is the Special II

  • i love this fucking guitar!

  • seriously guys, there is no need to post hates on this vid. you think i dont know it sucks ?? the only reason its here is coz its got 28k views and because it is a sound test... sheesh if you dont like it, dont watch it, simples....

  • I think its great playing. Im thinking of getting the Epiphone LP Special II and your video is the best ive heard so far :)

  • i do like it dude

  • sounds like a finger picking song to me. until the cool part of cource. you know, with the power cords

  • Enter sandman was much better than Nothing Else matters!

    Greatjob though

  • Why dont pick whit your fingers ????? Its much easyer. : D

  • cz ima tad of a noob there lol

  • picks waay better in my opinion

  • What does LTD stand for?

  • hey if i had to choose btween lp spec 2 and lp100 what would you recommend??sorry still a noob..only playing for 6 mos on a classic guitar

  • theyre effectively the same guitar, from whqat i can tell, just that the LP100 has the classic curved top and 2 vol 2 tone knobs, it really depends if you want to pay more for a more aesthetically pleasing design

  • or what about gibson LP studio or EP lp custom??? just found out that i had extra money so what do you recommend??sorry for being inquisitive nc demo btw

  • I've got the same guitar as above. It's a good beginners guitar and I really enjoy playing it but if I had it to do all over I'd start with the LP-100. Once you start playing sooner or later you'll start eyeballin a Gibson or Epiphone Standard etc..Seems it would help to already know how to deal w/ 4 knobs instead of 2.I don't know, that might not be an issue....I'm still learning..so.

  • no, the LP-100 is alot better because I heard it stays in tune better and 4 knobs makes a whole lot of difference because I have one and it sounds really good too

  • disagree, mine stays in tune fine and extra knobs make NO difference to sound ... all it means si that each pickup has its own individual volume and tone

  • are you playing on a 15w practice amp? thats probably why the sound isnt all too great, i have the same guitar on a half stack, check out my vids

  • how come when i waana see an epiphone specail 2, everyone plays metallica?

  • because metallica fucking own. lol

  • for me, it was cz metallica got me playin' guitar lol

  • Clean metallica songs sound perfect too on my Epiphone LP SII ;)

  • *disagree

  • the pickups suck but the guitar is fine

  • ha i knew it sounded familiar...so what you go to all the videos with cheap guitars and say they suck and the people who play them suck

  • I own a special model with the gibson name on the truss cover, it says special 2 nowhere on it, its the best guitar ive ever played

  • this is a great sounding guitar, but right here dude, Nothing Else Matters is too big for you, knock it down a few steps, maybe something easier :>

  • agreed, this was a while ago so i was a bit of a noob :)

  • what type of humbucker are you using?

  • good metaphor, right :P ... seriously though, it would be pointless putting EMG's into a Les Paul Special lol

  • I'm putting EMG-85's in my Special II and I have a feeling it will sound 50X better.

  • that'd be a waste of money, EMG's wont make a relitivly bad guitar sound good lol ... that would be like putting a V8 engine into a smart car -- pointless. you have to understand the lp special is made of basswood ect and has bad joints ect, EMG's wont make it sound MUCH better

  • I'm gonna get this guitar as my first electric. I hear you playing the slower Black album material from Metallica (which isn't bad, but I like other Metallica better). How does this guitar handle faster songs from Metallica's catalogue?

  • its fine :)

  • dude it is not the guitar, it si always the player....

  • disagree, you could not play death metal on a stratocastor with single coil pickups

  • ever heard of yngwie malmsteen? ano wait oh kirk hammet played a strat on kill em all. iron maiden?

  • As much as I love Fender, I do agree with you, I love my Strat, its my main guitar, but I always switch over to my Ibanez for harder stuff.

  • get vintage v100

  • i see u posted this like a little moer than a year ago.Hows it working for you now?

  • still brilliant, everythings in perfect working order, its kept in C tuning and stays perfectly in tune, a very good guitar to buy (=

  • i have one very nice but my 4th string wont stay tuned but verry nice guitar and i recomend it to start out with

  • would you recomend this guitar?

  • yes

  • i would recommend it 2 its really good

  • is it possible to get this guitar more bluesy sounding?

  • yes :) just fiddle with amp settings

  • the only problem with this guitar is it wont stay in tune for a fucking nickel

  • the tuning on mine is fine :)

  • Ive hade mine about a year.. spent $60 bucks on the authentic klusion tuners that are standard on gibson customs, can stay in tune for at least three weeks

  • it looks small...what do you like and or not like about this guitar/

  • its not small, it sounds nice, thats the best bit

the worse is the thick neck, but lead isnt impossible and it is easy to play when you get used to it :)

  • hey did you get that guitar with that bundle that comes with the amp?, i need to know

  • nope

  • do you think the one in the bundle is less quality or what, is the quality better when bought seprately, or what, and is the guitar worth buying for beginners

  • i dont know, i dont know, yes :)

  • omg nice!!

  • play the intro wiith your fingers, even kirk hammet does

  • you have to realise this was a long time ago ... i can play the whole song with my fingers now

  • i have it its pretty nice

  • the sustain isnt good at all and you cant get decent distortion out of the pickups so dont buy this for performing live. I had to get my pickups changed to seymour duncans and it made everything better. EMG's are okay but i have a problem with putting batteries in a pickup

  • i disagree, i think for a £100 guitar the sustain is very good. and i get brilliant distortion out of this guitar at dropped tuning. putting EMG's or seymours in this would be like putting a V8 in a VW beetle ... pointless

  • Nice Metallica.

  • deffinetly gettin this guitar now and great cover of nothing else matters

  • i have the epiphone les paul special II and i hate it...im counting donwt the days till i get my epiphone les paul standard!

  • lol, thanks for that comment ... my epiphone is amazing (Y) drop tune it and the bassy pups make it sound real deep, stick some 11's on it, into drop c, beast of a guitar

  • is this a factory B stock?

  • does this go out of tune easily?

  • sometimes, depends on tuning string gauge etc... mainly the g string tho =P

  • what gauge is most suitable for this guitar?

  • depends on the tuning

i keep my les paul in dropped C so i use 11's

but my jackson is kept in Eb so i use 9's

ESP is kept in D so it has 10's

  • for how long have u been playing ? is that the vintage model ?

  • look it up. Epiphone is a subsidary of Gibson. thus gibson OWNS epiphone. not the other way around.

  • les paul (the dude) originally worked for epiphone (Y)

  • Nice but Nothing else matters is finger picked.

  • epiphone is older than gibson too, they were on the market first!

  • epiphone started in 1996, and is a subcompany of gibson, why do you think gibson has models going back all the way till 1955?

  • no that would be when gibson bought out epiphone

  • epiphoen was bought by gibson in like the 1950's both companies date back to the late 1800's for like acoustics and stuff like that

  • i clearly doubt they started back in 1996 try like around the 1950's

  • for all of you assholes who don't know what the fuck a deluxe model is, you obviously don't pay fucking attention. see that? CLOSED COIL HUMBUCKERS. normal specials are open.

  • lol nice playing nothing else matters y metallica im getting that guitar too but the black one

  • yur suppose 2 pick the intro but nice playing.

    XD

  • i really liked this guitar when i first got it but as i got better i realized its not the best....

  • Yeah, I know what you mean. If you like the les paul sound, you're obviously going to want to go for a gibson. And if you're more into a funky style or shredding, a fender strat or an ibanez are good choices.

For now I'll just stick to my epiphone.

  • Nice guitar. Nice sound. Nice shape. Nice price. Bad reputation... Everyone says its for begginers cuz its lots of people first guitar. But it's not cuz its for beghginers, its cuz no one would spend 1,200 $ on their first guitar!

  • i mean if you put it up against my £370 Jackson RR3 its gonna get pwned, but if u put it against a £100 squier its going to own the squier

  • clear sound?

  • are these guitars only 4 beginers plzzz write bak sum1

  • no

theyre ok, theyre just not brilliant

  • Dumb question but, by normal standards, is this a good guitar? (Epiphone Les Paul Special ll) Like, in general.

  • yes, in a way...

    it does sound ok

    and it does play ok

but compared with me £370 jackson

the jackson does win on everything

but compare it to my £200 LTD its really not tht bad

  • compared to something like a Gibson Les Paul Jr. or LP Standard, some would say not really. Although Epiphone is owned by gibson they use cheaper materials in making the epiphones. Ive heard a lot of complaints with the LPS II that the pickups are weak, the hardware is really shitty, etc. Personally (i have the guitar) start with this guitar and move up As you progress u might want to look at an Epi LEs Paul Custom or an actual LP.

  • Thanks, thats what I did. I got an Epiphone SG for $400 recently. Alot Better.

  • I'm getting that guitar. It'll be my first :)

  • metalking123 - ibanez has guitars that are purely for metal...epiphone lp special 2 is good for metal, and also can be good for other types of music, so if ur a beginner i suggest getting the epiphone LP special II and also get a marshal mg series 15watt dfx, and get a good ibanez wen u get a little more experienced

  • i have the same guitar but my pickups are different

  • he just got cover for his

i guarantee they are the same unless u got new one

  • whoaa nothing else matters 4life!

I 'm getting the same gitar as you the day after tomorrow :P

    can't wait...

  • do you put some cover pickups?

  • nice guitar i just hot one off the web just like it

  • how long do you have playing guitar? sorry for my english

  • when i recorded this, about 6 months, now ive been playing like a year

  • ima noob guitarist should i get a ibanez GAX30 or this??i play rocks songs too alot of em pls give me a suggestion

  • ask yourself what one YOU prefer, and that'll be the one you get

  • thanks

  • i have a GAX30, dont get it the pickups are so muddy, and all u could play is metal cause the clean on it is horrible. to metangking123

  • METALLICA! haha hey dude i'm thinkin bout gettin this guitar maybe in that color or the orange burst one so any things special bout it? how are the pickups.

  • the pickups are pretty sweet sounding 2bh, and the sustain is alrite, just the neck is awful and thick, great for rhythm but you cant shred on it

  • did u swap out the pickups or did it come like that??

  • its stock, its an Limited model

  • lol ok cause im pretty scarfed :P

  • I bought one of thee for £49 and really like it, it has great sustain.

  • see i think the sustain is crap, but i do like the sound, and that aint a bad bargain 2bh lol

  • LOL sounds like Guitar hero a little bit

    Nice job

  • metallica fan with same guitar and amp. there is a god

  • well i just bought an epiphone les paul special 2 and i thought about buying chrome covers to make it look badass

  • he found 1 of those guitars with stock pickups and there the ones u find ina 6 hundred lp i think

  • did u add chrome covers to pickups

  • it is stock

  • in canada i saw them it comes withy 650 r and 700t whihc are faggy little gay asses and i never saw 1 like taht

  • no its not ... i got the guitar from thomann andthe amp for £40 off a friend

  • what amp are u using?

  • line 6 spider 3 75watt

  • sounds really nice lol

  • Nothing else matters playing with pick? lol use your fingers man :D

  • i couldnt then lol ... but i can now

  • i think he likes mettalica lol

  • i alos like how you paly both guitar parts at once

    skills much

  • lol thanks

and your other comment ... these are stock pick ups you know ... and yea i would recomend it for beginers because i dont play mine now coz i prefer my esp

  • ah

    ok

    cool

  • sick pickups

hey i was thinkin about buyin this exact guitar

color and everything, do you like it, sounds good

  • that was absolutely amazing!

how long have you been playing?

    how much do you practice?

    did you take lessons?

  • lol thanks

ive been playing there about 5 months ive now been playing about 9

    i ppractice too much

and no ive never had a lesson

  • how much were the pick ups

  • I don't think he switched out the P-ups, I think he just put covers on them, which would be a cosmetical improvement, but if you were going to enhance this Guitar, you would want to put The Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker Set. It's 131$, but it's well worth it.

  • i have that exact same guitar same color and everything and in my opinion it is the best cheap guitar on the market i got mine for 170$ it plays so smooth and nice for such an affordable price keep on rockin your really good

  • lol hear the msn thing near the start lol, great sound i have one on lay-buy

  • You nailed it. Great! I have a 2004 model without the fancy pickup covers. Sounds as good as my 58 LP VOS. My 58 has the burstbuckers and this little $180 "Special" has hotter pickups. I kid you not. Cool how all the pots and switchs are lables "epiphone" under the cover. So not really a "cheap" axe just inexpensive. These axes sound better and better with age. When I get time I will compare the two. My girlfriend even likes the LP 2 sound better. I told her to.

  • lol awesome remember to tell me if you do put a vid up

  • did u put those pickups on yourself

  • theyre stock

  • really mine didnt come with em'

  • its the deulux model

  • im gettin this guitar but i have to wait for it to get shipped T.T

  • your guitar is out of tune on the distortion part.... nice playing though.

  • alright thanks though and cool playing
