  • does anyone know if this is the deborah who was deborah silipini from rochester,ny and went to gate-chili high school?

  • A lot of these look like Deborah's back up dancer, Sandra Olivas.

  • The cool part about this show, (and it may have been the era as well,) is the amazing diversity of music that hit their countdown. It really opened it up to many different types of performances from the dancers.

  • I liked her better on Solid Gold Hits with that short hair...extremely sexy!! I remember three different outfits that stood out to me, a white one, a blue one and an orange one. wish I could find those episodes again.

  • 6:53 Oh Sweet Jesus!!!

  • this when the Elvira look was in...

  • Starting at 1:35 to Michael Jackson's "Human Nature", we get to see Deborah display the full package. Beauty, Sensuality, Incredible physical prowess in the form of a beautiful feminine physique and the limberness of a ballerina and her very keen artistic sense of song interpretation. It's too bad the show only displayed her dance ability because she can sing and act too! Deborah Jenssen.....A truly beautiful and remarkable woman!

  • Best Solid Gold Dancer Ever (and the hottest : )

  • I used to watch Solid Gold each week; all those dancers were pretty hot, but Deborah was my favorite! This was a totally cool show, I truly miss that music and cool shows like Solid Gold (none of either today). Too bad we didn't realize how good we had it then regards to music and tv shows.

  • Once again I have to say....I love you Deborah!!!!!...LOL!!

  • i am a big fan from Malaysia. Enjoy watching her perfomance during my college times. My favorites would be Sister Christian and Are you in love. Have a fan club there in US, email or something?I will surely wanna join in.

  • @inaz1992 No fan club that I am aware of, sorry!

  • Deborah boasted the most fluid, graceful moves of any of the dancers. I wonder how tall she was. And yes, she and Tony were a good pairing, she totally trusted his strength and abilities as a dancer. This is the best compilation, that's for sure, regardless of which dancer you like. Good job.

  • Marty Cohen may have been cheesy but I gotta give him some credit for maintaining his composure at the beginning when he introduces Deb. She was verrrrrry affectionate with him! If she had done that to me, I probably would have hit the floor unconscious, as she walked away saying "Whoops I did it again"! ...."DJ".....just another one of many reasons we have to be thankful!

  • 3:54 my Gosh Tony was a babe in a half. Mm Mm.

  • Yes, he was.

  • @lbCharmed1 Wow, Love the section from 3:55 to 4:33. Pure Talent. Deborah is still probably a babe. It's hard to say who's my favourite now. Thanks for the vids.

  • i was 15 and in love with her wow still hot

  • She's undoubtedly THE BEST on the show. I liked it when Marilyn hosted, hated Dionne.

  • ahhh... had to get a quick fix!!! the clip at

5:53 is just soo awesome !! I hope the copyright crap doesnt effect this video!!!

  • i left something out i think i still love her,i want her to have my children lol....cool

  • shes defenatly hot, where did the time go,it was just like yesterday

  • It was nice to see her smile during "Legs" - she so very rarely smiled on SG - I think she was just much happier once she left to go to Solid Gold Hits.

  • Whenever Deborah and Tony paired up- their chemistry just rOcKeD!!!! As a kid- I always thought they made a cute couple or were dating, they were always in sync together-

  • by far my favorite dancer ever...she was sexy and very talented...

Wasnt she in Queen of the Broken Hearts- Loveryboy????

  • Yes, she was. And in several other videos like, "Walk The Dinosaur", "Tonight I'm Yours" and "Whirly Girl" to name a few.

  • to expand my thoughts...I thought all the Dancers were lovely and talented...Debbie just had "it" for me...

haha my parents couldnt watch HEE HAW as long as Solid Gold was on...

  • As a very young child, I vaguely remember Dean Martin's "Golddiggers". Fast forward to the 80's and The Solid Gold Dancers. Yes, there have been some luscious ladies in music videos here and there over the years but the week in week out performances of the SG Dancers, their athleticism, dance ability, choreography, sensuality is unmatched. And, at the time, it was quite sensational for television. Deborah is awesome to watch in these SG videos. Incredible body and real dance moves. Captivating.

  • Wow...the BEST!

  • 1:58 was sweet! The performers on tv today have nothing on these guys.

  • I still maintain that there was nothing before or since The Solid Gold Dancers that could even come close to what they did and how they did it!

  • Hey it's November 15- Deborah's Birthday!!!

  • OMG!! That's right!! Thanks for reminding me!

  • Jenssen moved like a cat.

  • One of the many reasons why she was in my top 3 favorite Solid Gold Dancers!

  • Such a beautiful woman...

  • My goddess!

    Hey! I always thought *I* was! :-)

  • hehehe sorry axecalibore- Ive held that postion since 1982 I was 13. I had the courage at 13 to call her up on the phone at KTLA where Solid Gold was taped and talk to her for like two minutes. I was just a kid!

  • When you called KTLA, you actually they were actually able to get her on the line for you???

  • Ibcharmed- Yes I did- It was easier back then- it was 1982- I clearly remember the lady who picked up the phone actually yelling for her "Debbie" on Sept 15,-it will have 26yrs when I did that . I was a kid from Ohio who got a roll of quarters and rode my bike into town and called her up on a payphone- ahhhh the memories!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh WOW I just watched the entire video again!!!

You put one of my all time favorites dances she did- I had been looking for that one forevER!!!! "The one you Love" by Glenn Fry.

    THANKS SOO MUCH!!!!!

  • You're very welcome. Glad I could bring back some great memories for you!!

  • Very nice video! I do believe I am Deborah's #1 Fan.

  • The best way to describe Deborah as a dancer would be to say the she was always slinky smooth. She always made each movement look easy and effortless. She was always a pleasure to watch. Thanks for the lovely tribute. Oh and speaking of videos, Deborah made her presence known in videos by Rod Stewart and Was Not Was, to name a few.

  • Also she appeared in OXO's video "Whirly Girl".

  • If I am not mistaken, wasn't she in a "Loverboy" video also? I could be wrong.

  • After some searching, I found her Loverboy video "Queen of the Broken Hearts". I have marked it as a "Favorite" so you can easily find it on my Channel Page. Enjoy!!

  • Does anyone know what Deborah been up too these days? where does she live now etc...

Debs, Pam and Tony were my top 3 dancers on the show.....They were the show!

  • Not really, no. Just know she is alive and well and aware of all the Solid Gold postings.

  • Debbie is living in Los Angeles after spending many years in France. I saw her a few months ago at her step-father's funeral. I didn't get to talk to her for long, and being it was a wake, I didn't ask her many questions. I used to hang with her younger brothers but Deb was the same age as my older brother who was better friends with her than I was.

  • At least you had taste enough not to be a "stalker". Points for being tasteful.

  • Well, DUH LOL. Actually I don't get star struck too often. Lou Gramm from Foreigner also lived on our street and I used to sing with his brother's local band in the 80's. I also lived in Southern California for many years so it's nothing to see an actor/actress walking down the street or in the park.

  • I live in Long Beach CA, so I know what you mean about seeing random celebs every now and then. I really don't get star struck either, but there have been a few occasions when it has happened. LOL!

  • Hey IB- Did you ever go to the tapings when Deborah was on?

  • Unfortunately no. I have always lived in So Cal but before attending university, I lived about 3.5 hours from LA/Burbank and didn't get the opportunity to attend the tapings at the KTLA studios. I started university in the fall of 84 and by that time the moved the tapings to Paramount Studios and Deborah had left the show. :-(

  • Thanks for putting this up! Deborah was my all-time favorite!

  • Very nice, thanks for sharing...Deborah was one of my favorite dancers.

  • She was one of my favorites, too!! Thanks for commenting!!

  • Very nice!!

  • Thanks very much!! ;-)
