They said that conditions were very bad because of temperature being 2 degrees, that is such a funny thing, they tested the car in those conditions just because of turbo engine characteristics. Cold air makes engine work more efficiently and give more power, so they could make it under 8 mins. I Think on the hot day they wont be able to do a sub 8 minute lap.

@HolySSJ2 - Evo IX ran it in 8:11. The Evo X as far as I can tell does not have an official time on the ring. The Evo IX is a tick or two quicker than the Evo X in 0-60 and 1/4 mile due to the X's extra weight. So the X would be hard pressed to get a 7:55. But I've also read that this STI was not stock, that it had an upgraded turbo. So they are probably pretty close to each other on the ring.
