@mrrefurbishedbrain well i got it because everyone in my work kept saying the street food was fine. They'd not had it at all, but just thought i'd warn people as since ive got back home ive met a lot of people who have had similar issues in thailand....
Food poisoning is not so common in my experience, I lived in Chiang Mai 4 years and never heard anyone get sick for food. Instead I had a case in Spain a few years ago, go figure...lol
@signboyy yes about 140- not sure of the exact exchange rate, but something like that.. it was in a small mooban (village) on the outskirts of bangkok- near Bang Khae...
@japanascope There is a kitchen but it isn't in view. The apartment I stayed in was good for me and cost me roughly £80 per week. I got food poisoning from street food, however I'm not sure if vinegar would have helped me. The Western diet is not used to the bacteria in the Far East and when food isn't cooked right or is left out I suggest not eating it full stop. 5/6 days in Hospital is pretty nasty when you're alone abroad-speaking from experience! I almost died from food poisoning I got on the Lao/Thai border by eating some purple sausage. You can avoid food poisoning by mixing 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with water and drinking that before you eat.
well the ones made there are pretty cheap but they don't tend to last as long..
