(i have the twin turbo 2.0), comfortable and fun as heck to drive! i didnt go for the 4x4 because im cheap so i hope i never get stuck.. lol

Volkswagen doesen't use CDTi they use TDI...

And they don't use that big engines, will probably be a 4 cylinder 2,0 litre 180 BHP TDI with about 360 tourqes.

Actually, all the "C" stands for is Common Rail, and all modern diesels come with Common Rail, its just some companies like to brand it likes its state of the art. The VW TDI is also common rail, and the max HP Diesel they are making is only 160BHP and it will ship with a stock 120BHP diesel which fucking sucks as I was hoping for them to use the new 180BHP Transpoter engine they deisgned.

(imagine remapping the 180 to around 220bhp!!)

surely this pick up its going to be like all german SUV´s that drive like car , very safety and comfortable but in the real truck world they are lame in offroading ( because of ground clereance and suspension articulation) in towing capacity , and in engine power , iam never gonna see a real men in that truck only , cute boys or adventurer wifes. Its not bad its simply diferent . safety and economy vs offroading and power.

if you did watch the Rally then you must have noticed the standard Amarok support trucks that did the whole length of the rally fully loaded with spare parts, water , food, medical equipment , etc. this pickup isn't meant for roads , it's meant for emerging economies like South America, Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. it's made to be tough and it has real offroad capabilities.

@scratchy996 the fact that it could made it its not that could be the best truck to do it , its like the cayenne transsyberia , they go for hard places also like a fiat panda 4x4 ,for serious off road you need solid axles , this truck its like a ridgeline they have tricky traction controls but they dont flex and have lame ground clearence . its a different concept but never its going to make sweat a jeep in a mountain trail, and for emerging economies? come on VW products r way so expensive

it's more than capable for what it's meant to be , check out the other videos. VW may be expensive where you come from, but they are not expensive in the rest of the world and a car built in Argentina will be cheaper than its competition, the Japanese pickups.
