Of every track event that you could possibly do in the rain, Hammer is by far the worst one to do. Why the fuck wouldn't they just postpone the event.
best part about this man, is that in front of thousands of people. he gets up, walked out of the ring, and was able to throw again without any assistance. ..and to other comments about throwing in the rain..even if you dont throw in the rain that often, its still best to train with a wet ring, cause you'll always want to be perpared for the worst..doesnt rain much in calif. but we arent alarmed when rain comes during a meet.
i live in sweden and its lots of rain so I train much in rain... its good to throw much in rain so you are used to it when the weather is like this in a competition =P
He was truly fighter. After this accident on warm-up he didn't be afraid... since second round was first... and won gold medal. Unlucky his character never been easy. It is sad because he could more win but for me He is truly olympic hero:-)
well it kinda was, nothing against him. His technique brings his foot very tight to his left shin. It just happened that he hooked it just enough. I"ve done it, and it's not fun.
oh no doubt there. Usually a wet ring wont cause that great of an error though. I agree with you that the ring wasn't in great shop, but most hammer throwers prefer a faster surface.
Sod throwing in that rain!

i dont understand why they dont postpone the event when its raining. it makes as much sense as racing in the daytona 500 in rain.

what amazes me is that he was able to dust himself off, re-focus and win the damn competition, and yes it's the final of the 2000 olympics!

lol, its not really his fault, the ground looks very slippery.

yeah but you can see that the ground moved from underneath him due to the slippery surface.

it's so freaky :D hey I could recommend you to click on "Edit Video" and then go to AudioSwap. There u can add some music to the track!
olivercarlehed 3 years ago
Thanks for the recommendation! Got any suggestions regarding music that would suit this video?
maahlsko 3 years ago
I think Electronica (genre) and then tazzesta (artist) and then the single track. I think it's quite synced to the video.
olivercarlehed 3 years ago
no I think u should take metal (genre), Drowning Pool (artist) and then Nothingness (song).

Thanks once again! Audio edited!
