In order. 3.300:1 1.900:1 1.420:1 1.000:1 0.713:1 0.608:1 Differential ratio 3.685:1 And an ATX is also lighter by 50KG, I have MOTEC on board with custom headers and it does a 12.9
Just a quick note for you mate. Good run, but your power figures are around the wrong way. The KW rating that comes with cars from factory, is at the flywheel. In other words, it's horse power. So 200kw is really 200hp, which is 150rwkw, and the XR6T 270 is actually 200rwkw. Just thought I'd clear it up. What was your end time? Didn't catch it lol
@HaloumiTheCheese All my trap speeds were between 98-100mph, so I'm not sure what that converts into Kilometres. But I think around 160 from what I remember seeing at the time
@silviadesu I never really wanted a xr6 turbo, they're nice cars though... Bought an Aurion because the low maintenance costs and reliability, it's my daily driver, only raced at Calder since it's 2 minutes from my house and cheap to do... I'll eventually be saving for a project car
@dazzamate42 i've had my xr6 since 07. It's a BF. And it has literally never broken down and i've never had to take it to the mechanic for anything other than standard service ever 5 or 10. Should have gone the Ford.

Secondly it depends what model aurion (ATX is under geared and detuned) and also what model XR6 and with what gearbox. Get an ATX vs an FG XR6 6 speed and the ATX gets smoked. @TheGusto69 *facepalm* the ATX is geared more to efficiently and smoothness while the zx6 is geared for sports, meaning gear ratios are VERY different. Ford is better in many areas, ergonomics for a start. handling, braking, continued acceleration (aurion drops off a few thousand rpm before the ford), acceleration from a rolling start (eg. overtaking) the interior and roofline of the car is more well thought out (the roof is incredibly low in the back of the aurion) and it has greater potential.
@BAXTSPRCHRGD@BAXTSPRCHRGD Aurion seemed to handle a lot better than the Ford to us. We have just purchased two SX6 Aurions for our company. Toyota lent us one for a day to try it out. I have videos of the flogging we gave it, i should post them. We test drove an XR6 aswell. The Aurion you could throw around at any speed with no fear of getting out of hand. The quality of the Aurion was much higher aswell. Obviosly the Aurion went a lot harder aswell.

@BAwithBALLS Torque steer in the sport models is not an issue. Front and rear strut braces, and an lower brace in the rear, stiffer suspension, we got the sx6, seemed the best value for what you get with it. In the wet is another story. We got the Ink black, which has grown on me for looks. Its 2011 so has the clear tail lights, and revised front etc. Looks pretty sweet. 17 inch wheels. I tinted the windows with Bolle tint. Looks nice.
@dazzamate42 Sure it's (very slightly) faster than a non-turbo (mostly to do with gearing) but it's priced closer to an XR6T, so the comparison is valid. an FG Barra puts out 195kW on 91 RON and 210kW on 98RON :).
@KingOfForest22 I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, so because it's priced closer to an Xr6 turbo, means that it should be in the same class as one? That's like comparing a race between a Bugatti Veyron and a luxury motor home... Also, as stated several times, the point of this video is to get my own times to see what the front wheel drive family sedan can do... Not true when it came down to it. I beat an Aurion with my BF xr6 manual BEFORE any of my mods. Aurion only has like an extra 8 kw, but less torque. The Aurion is more expensive and looks like something my grandfather would drive.
@cartaa100 Umm... Aurions are a touch faster than XR6 N/As. And to the fellas saying "tune the XR6 and it will be faster"...tune up the Aurion and see what happens.. hint- pull your pants down because you will get raped. And before you call me a Ford hater, check my videos ;)

Aurions need more torque, falcons and commodores walk all over them, the TRD is a disgrace. No match for FPV or HSV.
12.5 second stock FPV GT 335kw = nothing from toyota can compete.

My totally Factory Stock G6ET ran 13.16 @ 108 so it looks like its stock to me.
Some have run 12.6 unmodified - very fast car for a stocker.
The aurion wouldn't have a hope of beating one of these, no matter who was driving.
