@ellisandjake yeah there are alot of sub genres. Most of em are bullshit in my opinion. Except metalcore. I like that genre cuz it has A little bit of everything. It has screams, clean vocals, alot of double bassing on drums. And low tuned guitars. I've noticed that bands like atr,bfmv,parkway drive,As I lay dying, killswitch,atreyu guitarists generally use the emg81 and85 pickups. I also think that bands like mettallica,iron maiden, and black sabbath have had the biggest influence on metalcore
