  • I lost my book, I'm so sad :'(

  • i thing serj is a very clever and good personality.

  • and my friend told me that stoners only wrote poetry about dragons and twinkies

  • @Rsage I know I have the book I got it for Christmas :D

  • Were did you get this video? Is it on a DVD or what?

  • @LoveJohnTravolta no. i found it on some website but it was a long time ago. i can't recall which. there is no dvd, however he does have a book of some poems he has written called "Cool Gardens", you should check it out.

  • Serj still looks like my bro with a beard

  • It would be cool if he turned these poems of his into songs, especially I'm Erica.

  • @animeking1357 Actually he did. His Poem "Misunderstood Rose" was in the song Disowned Inc. on his Imperfect Harmonies Album.

  • @ProjectBKill Cool I'll have to check that out.

  • @Derek Thanks for adding absolutely nothing to conversations on this comment page, you inarticulate philistine. I just about fell out of my chair with laughter after reading your pathetic response to something I wrote over a year ago. Lol @ "Fucken". Way to embarass yourself. Get Good.

  • I love the circus tiger one, how it symbolises how human's are forced to live a way that is voilent and stressful.

  • I just love both of these, better than most of the song´s lyrics.

  • Damn. That just gave me a slightly stronger view on how afful this planet is, Humans are so blind.

  • Everyone saying others ideas of what the circus tiger means are rubbish are being ignorant, a poem, song or book is written so that each individual view is made with each new reader. Seeing them all agree with them, yet I have not seen my idea, and I won't say the rest is rubbish as many of you have.

  • (lol my names erica)

    wow great writing

  • i did my speech on animal cruelty, and i talked about the the circus tiger

  • wow this was amazing. i reccomend everyone read the book Behold a pale horse by William Cooper. Some real ass shit in there

  • I'm a little frustrated that not many people (if anyone) have commented on the genius of "I'm Erica". C'mon people, I'm Erica = America.

  • it's very clever.

  • well done, finally i find someone who understands it.

  • @jorganbon How could I not notice that?

  • not a one of you is right about Circus Tiger nor any of you are wrong. People write poems and songs to let the reader or listener make what they want of it...only they know why it was really written and sometimes there is no real reason for writing it, it just comes to them. It's for you to interpret how you want so stop arguing about who does and does not understand the poem.

  • Think about it:

"Do you do it now, as a human? If not, then I understand why you were not sure what set the tiger off, Mr. Commentator."

  • That's not the point at all. The point is that this tiger was caged by society and forced to play out a role enforced by others to the point that it's spirit became so trampled that it's soul became a mere ghost of itself. And what's sad is that the reason the commentator could not understand this tigers actions is because he (like most of us) does not recognize and abhor the shackles societies expectations have placed on his mind enough to fight for his own freedom.

  • I'm Erica = America

    Clever :)

  • I caught that when I first listened to this.

    Very clever, indeed. :)

  • My favorite is Businessman vs. The Homeless

    (not saying this isn't good)

  • really like these poems the first one you could make a song out of so easely

  • This kind of stuff really doesn't move me, at least since to me this is common sense. I mean, if you were treated as circus tigers are for other's entertainment of course you would want to escape and of course you would do anything to do so, it seems obvious enough to me.

  • But there are those who don't think that way, they think a circus tiger is just a tamed animal who will follow their every word. Thats what the poem is about, those ignorant people believing they can control the universe

  • yes it is common sense, but most things are... the delivery is what matters...

originality doesnt exist, everything must come from somewhere. thats why no-one can explain the creation of "god"

so your comment therefore is also common sense... so why bother writting it. :)

  • dndfreak if u didnt like circus tiger, you didnt understand the point of the poem

  • I understand the point quite well and that point is to teach the idiot masses that humans are not the only species that feel emotion. What I don't like is that it even needs to be said, as that should be common sense. It's another "I know why the caged bird sings", more proof that the typical human fails to understand the thought processes of others, human or otherwise. That is what I find displeasing.

  • oooh yes he surely is!!!!!!!!!!

  • serj is an interesting human being

  • well... technically... serj has made the world better than it would've been without him... so he's still a god in your book?

  • "Make the world a better place" is from a strictly human viewpoint. The world isn't a sentient being, that has a vested interest in humanity, the world will still be, with or without us. Also, the evidence that gods exist is currently 0%, so the chance that they exist would also have to be 0%, at this time.

  • well it really depends on what you mean by the "world". it can be the world as far as the lives of humans go or the world as a biosphere. 0% evidence of gods? my, you've been watching too much dawkins. there's more perspective to life than religion and science my friend.

  • "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"

  • @EpicFailMan you got fucken owned epicfailman, owned.

  • @EpicFailMan Technically speaking, a world is a place with life. So technically, the best thing for the world is for humanity to end, because we ruin all other life. TECHNICALLY! I dont want humanity to end. Protecting the earth means we build a giant metal shield or something so it never gets hits by asteroids, or protect it from the sun so it never blows into piece. Anyway, just something interesting.

  • @jorganbon how do tribesman in the amazon and elsewhere ruin all other life?

  • @Rsage My bad. That was ignorantly worded. I mean "civilized" humans. Of course as a human living in the high tech society, I don't want to apply this belief. It's a thing to consider. Do I wanna give up my comfortable life to help animals and stuff? Hell no. Is it wrong? Maybe.

  • @jorganbon hah... i'm glad you agree with the distinction between the two. however, although it appears civilized humans beings live comfortable lives, you may be surprised by the comparison of the workload of indigenous peoples compared to that of "modern" society. i've done a decent amount of studying on the subject and field work/research/findings from anthropology show that "primitive" societies tend to live healthier, easier, and more content lives.

  • @Rsage I could see how that is. He have a different type of stress though. we've got mental stress, a lot of things to keep up. Taxes, studies, and of course social situations. When we have a conflict with someone, its more complicated than just a fight to the death with spears. A lot of other factors to consider.

  • Disregarding the existence of gods, a god would not have to make the world better to exist. A god would merely be an omnipotent, all powerful being, they can help our world or destroy it without a second thought.

  • serj tankian is god. wait if serj was god the world would be better then it is now!

  • wow i love the 2nd one
