The more throat singing videos I watch, the more 'colours' I can hear in the sound..they might be only singing one note in a melody, but you can hear two, three, four or more harmonics around them. Amazing how they do it.
Yes, this is awesome, one of the best I have listened to . Some parts dont care too much for but overall the sounds are awesome, and varied here. I love the way he keeps a melody, I almost feel like I can tell what he is saying when it is not just sounds, love the whistling and I usually hate it, i also love the way he doesn't play the accordian so loud that you can;t hear him, the basic melody is beautiful. don't take it down.

I figured it out, kind of. His name is Igor Koshkendei. I also found this;
"Igor toured and performed very successfully in the US with the group, Chirgilchin in 2000 and 2001. Igor has also released two CDs: "Music from Tuva" 1998 Amiata Records, Italy, and "Aryskan Wind" 1999 Pure Nature Music, USA"
Have yet to find a place to get either of those recordings however.

it's true that while playing this you really get carried away with your own music. You have to do it before you can really understand this. A musician needs to feel like this all the time while playing :D (dont do drugs)

it's true that while playing this you really get carried away with your own music. You have to do it before you can really understand this. A musician needs to feel like this all the time while playing :D (dont do drugs)

Seriously what do you guys think Turk means? Today people in Turkey aren't even close to being Turks, may be one in a 100!!! They just speak Turkic. Central Asia has Turks. And Tuvans are not Turkic.
BTW Mongolia is a country now, so Mongolian means those registered citizens of Mongolia...But the word Mongol or Mongoloid is the race that Altaic people (Turkic and Mongolians) are part of!

I don't know what's going on, but please, please keep this around. It's my favorite Chirgilchin song and is extremely beautiful to me... there's nothing that bad about the quality. Like a previous poster said, I would never have been introduced to the group unless it was for youtube, and this particular video was what got me into them.

I've watched all the other Chirgilchin videos on youtube I could find and, although its not the best quality, this one remains my favorite. I think you should leave it up. It's not poor quality at all. If I purchased anything from the group it would be souly because of this video. I think its a great song and great advertisement!

Changing your tune, eh? I thought you were going to take it down. How is it bad for the group? Well, the manager said he didn't want poor quality videos. This one is poor quality. It sounds bad, the video quality is poor, and it's not in the same league with the other Chirgilchin videos. It's amateurish at best. It doesn't do justice to Chirgilchin.

There are several videos posted by people associated with Chirgilchin. These should be enough to familiarize you with the group. Free advertisement is fine, but this one is a poor advertisement. Compare it to the other Chirgilchin videos and you'll see what I mean. An advertisement which portrays the product poorly is worse than no advertisement at all.

There are at least six sanctioned Chirgilchin videos on Youtube, so dcrlrcnppv's point is moot. He could find out about the group from some of the higher quality videos, or go to their website which, surprisingly enough, is chirgilchin dot com. As to my being disrespectful, I consider Isrealsleite to have earned my disrespect. He/she posted this video and should figure out how to pull it down.

Kudos for sticking up for Chirgilchin. But the remark from the manager was all that was needed. The video's been flagged, by the poster no less, and it's coming down regardless. S/he is, in words at very least, trying to be helpful. Despite your helpful plugs, on the whole your comments have been nasty, and I hope you have no connection with the group because I don't want to run into this at a concert.

I have no connection to the group. As to the comment from the manager being all that was needed, how long ago was that? I know of this video being flagged at least three times in the past couple of weeks and it has yet to be pulled. And I stand by my nastiness, as I feel it to be an appropriate response to this kind of disrespectful behavior.

You're a hack, for gods sake take the video down. If it's against the wishes of the artist (especially this artist) then do the right thing.. Or act like an asshat and hopefully Karma will cost you your tongue.
The quality's terrible and does no justice to the artist whatsoever, there's no clarity between instrument and voice. IMO you're exploiting tuvan dude. Get your shit together.
