  • CombatEX reincarnate?

  • Eat carbs always after work out. Vitargo is the best option imo.

  • bro u got big arms, ima get bigger tho.

  • bro you workout again or you 1 pump chump like everyone else?

  • also, having a day working out and the next recovery is optimal, so don't be worried about a daily scedule, make it a weekly schedule with two or three intense, spotted workouts per week and the rest can be simple push-ups & situps or cycling or something. Weights are only one part of physical fitness, going out of the house and jogging/skateboarding/parkour/whatever to burn off energy on the other days is the best way to go about increasing your whole body strength. gl hf

  • You need a spotter to tell you you did it right, get adam or kayla around or something just to double check. In your mind you do everything 100% but reality is a bitch. Just get someone who can tell you when you're slipping or slacking a little, it's so hard to see that stuff by yourself.

  • I'm a personal trainer out here in california. try doing back and bicep and chest and shoulders and dont forget legs.

  • consistency.

  • do p90x man, it really changed my life!

  • Im gonna be with you until your as thin as a Nerd!

  • if you work out right you dont need protein

  • A video of you working out?

Dude I have a lot of respect for you but this is narcissism at its higest, please don't go down that road.

  • Noob question here people!

So, how do I get rid of the chubbyness on my stomach?

Without running? My ankles are fucked so I cant really run.

Is there any way that I can get rid of the fat on my stomach?

  • @HineyBFMV Very, very simple:

    1) Crunches

    2) Side-step lifting

    3) Eat lots of green veggies and/or veggies low in calories (kale, spinach, lettuce, sprouts, etc.)

    4) Go for a walk and get ankle supports in your shoes. A sales person at any shoe store should be able to assist you with this.

    5) Do some pull ups, but pull up just your legs using your abs

There are probably hundreds of ways to do that. Those are just what I would highly recommend.

  • @HineyBFMV Swim

  • I have one recommendation, though it's not for your work-out per se. It's really for every day.

Never rest on your bones; hold up your frame and body weight with your muscles every moment of the day, even if you're sitting in a chair. Reach for the sky with the very top of your head, with your shoulders back. Maintaining this at all times will keep your core muscles toned and disciplined. It will take some time to make this a habit, but it's great for your posture (and also self-confidence) :]

  • What're you doin' for your legs?

  • @CrystalCassiopea

    Waxing.

  • How your benching!

  • brb i game all the time, brb i watch everyone of your videos.

Check out my transformation video, dat dere aesthetic gamer

  • dude i was trying to remember this for like months, but you totally look like twofer from 30 rock

  • Bradatimrkonja is right about the protein. First of all, that hype about 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight is complete garbage. Supplement company crap. You at the most need about 60g of protein per day and that's an over estimation.

Eat as you were Max, don't change your diet. And don't worry about what you eat, just train HARD. 3 One hour sessions per week is all you need to build a really good body.

  • @khanriza

Yes! Thank you, The amount of times I have had to explain this! Especially when I trialled a vegetarian diet. First thing anyone says, "Der herrr where you get protein?"

"Where do the animals you eat get their protein? From... other animals? No? From the gods?"

All the animals we eat have nothing but grain, yet somehow have muscle, which has protein. The tornado of misinformation seems to swallow up all these obvious facts of reality for too many people.

  • @HandsomeNamed Agreed. Most people have a hard on for protein where as they should concentrate more on complex carbohydrates. Not only do carbohydrates provide readily available fuel to your body, they have a protein sparing quality where protein is not burned as fuel but is used for muscle synthesis. Again, you need about 60g of protein a day, which even a crappy diet provides. MaximusBlack is probably getting his required protein intake, now he needs to work out HARD. :D

  • Alright Max, have a Pro shake after your work out.

Split your exercises into 3 days (On your off days do more cardio stuff, EG Adams DDP Yoga, P90x or some of that aerobic tape stuff with your missesnom' saying)

Chest/Shoulders (Barbell bench, dumbbell flyes, shoulder lat raises shoulder front raise)

Bi's /Tri's / Abs Curlz for gurlz, tri raises, more curlz

Legs /Back Squat light, deadlift, rows

Customize it, make it yours. Don't overtrain muscle groups too much. eg daily. Worked well for me

  • Adjustable freeweights are awesome if you're short on space.

  • Ok, so my youtube frontpage has minecraft, starcraft, just general gaming stuff, and also music. And this. I'm confus.

  • personally i wouldnt bother with protein shakes this early into training, you are not going to get much benifit and they make you fart like you are rotting inside. If you are going to snack keep to high fibre stuff especially on a high protein diet

  • you and Adam have made me wana work-out to, and like properly not a lazy-mans work-out =)))

  • Jeff how much do you bench press?

  • Hey dude, I'm sure you already know this like a bouse but you should work out the different parts of your body on different days. Like Monday do your Bicep and Back workout, Wednesday Chest and Triceps, and Friday Legs and Shoulders. With cardio on each of those days and allowing yourself to rest on the off days before switching to a full 5 day program. Stay Bouse!

  • Also I dunno if they have Cross Fit up in Canadiaville but I just started it in NYC and it is amazing. Seriously anyone who has crossfit in their area and wanna get in shape I would check it out. You can do as many free sessions as you want to. But its cool you an adam are doing this cause I just started about a week ago at Crossfit and I am also takin pics, not that Ill send them to you...I mean.. unless you want me to. 100% homo.

  • I really wish i had the motivation to work out. I used to try to train with my school's parkour club, but its so tough for me to make it to most practices. Now, at most, i do like 40 push ups or a little exercise my friend taught me that he calls '4 min Abs'. Good to see you getting motivated though.

  • I wanna see you as muscular as Adam used to be! :) Good luck man. I stay in shape by tricking, hell of a lot more fun than lifting weights if you ask me, but its not for everyone. Lets see you pack on some muscle! Stay bouse

  • your right arm looks bigger than your left arm.

  • @MonsieurPhork prob is a little bit. no one has perfect symmetry but i thin his tattoo makes a weird effect.

  • @MonsieurPhork That's from sick right-arm daily workouts.

  • Screw the protein shakes and stuff, get healthy stuff man! Like green tea and peanuts if you get the munchies, or fruits! really great stuff! And there are intense workout routines that you can do with just 20-30 min a day!

  • OH and I forgot to add, best of luck mate! :)

  • Billy Craig

  • DO NOT take a day off, i have been doing insanity and mma training for about 6months now, and days off make you so lazy that its hard to start up agian. Im not saying that you have to train normally on a day off but do like a rlly low weight like 10-15 about 25 curls and 10min of cardio so u stay in the game. Hope that helps!

  • @d3athw8s4no1 You do know that FULLY RELAXING to let your body recover is absolutely mandatory right? even PRO MMA fighters take full day off to recover and chill out, if you keep working out you'll just tear at the muscles even if you go lower weights than normal. Specially if you don't have a body that is USED to working out at such a high pace, just saying. But of course there are freaks of nature that can do that as well ^_^

  • @d3athw8s4no1 your totally right! When you take a day off you can get into the mindset of saying "oh another day off wont hurt" and you end up taking a week off, the way i do it is too workout different sections of my body different days, so im always working out but im also allowing sections of my body to rest and heal up at same time

  • When are you going to post stories again?

  • I really wouldnt be surprised if this activity didn't effect your Starcraft game in a positive way. I'm trying to get in better shape for my wedding in March, using a personal trainer to help out. Would you mind mentioning how much those free weights were? Thanks dude stay bouse.

  • @Tewcool2000 check out the last vid of his, he shows them in the shop.

  • @VROGamers Don't see anything uploaded yet dude, maybe my feed is shitting the bed or something :(

  • I will tell you what i wrote to Adam. Please, be careful with that protein thing, make sure is safe protein. Sometimes there are trademarks that doesn't show their real ingredients buy only the ones aproved by the goverment.

I know im kinda annoying but ive seen people using allkind of crap and with the time the body start to not withstand it.

  • Do ballet like I do, Jeff. I will be doing 35 hours of dance a week, and it will be damn near killing me. Good luck with your own personal training; I know the hardest part for me was pushing myself and forcing myself to do it, no matter how I felt.

Bouse that you take care of yourself, unlike so many other casters and ePeople. Looking forward to seeing you get stronger, and all that nonsense. Peace!

  • The protein used in the kind of protein Jeff is talking about is actually farmed. It's not poison, it's made from the same stuff as the meat you eat.

  • Comment removed

  • every time i heard someone taking anything synthetical when they work out I remember the bus scene from fight club :D

  • Hearing all the inches mesurements I was waiting for the d

  • what aboot story time with MB ??

  • Why poison your body with artificial proteins? Eat normal food...

  • @Bradatimrkonja Better saturation in the artificial stuff

  • @Bradatimrkonja As scarab40 said, better saturation, + easier to dose without overeating.

  • @Bradatimrkonja artificial proteins are more of an addition that allows for fast absorption of protein which your muscles need to recover whereas with real food there is a long period of time where there is no protein going to the muscles.

  • @Bradatimrkonja

    Poison?

I'd say you're a little uneducated in that department.

  • Lol because it works

  • @Bradatimrkonja Every chemical substance you take in is kinda poison if you overdo it, it's better imo to just eat protein heavy food(like chicken) instead of protein shakes. Anyways, it's just my opinion, didn't expect this much feedback on my comment xD.

  • @Bradatimrkonja Do you actually know what you're talking about? It's not poison, protein shakes are VERY good for you. You don't have to be working out to take them, many people take them if they don't get enough protein in their diets. It doesn't replace food!! It's just something extra to get that extra protein.. you still eat healthy too.

  • @Bradatimrkonja

Poison? Artificial proteins? Do you think whey protein is made in some lab by the evil scientist working for some sinister poison corporation? Sometimes I think people today are just as superstitious as people were in the dark ages, only they subscribe to a different set of superstitions. Whey protein is made at a dairy farm, it is just another dairy product. Whey isn't dangerous. In case you didn't know, human females breast feed their children that stuff.

  • @Bradatimrkonja How is whey artificial? You can't eat tons of chicken breast all the time.

  • @Wilson1592

You don't need tons of protein, from any source. It's just not necessary, in the amount a lot of people seem to think. What your muscles need is a source of energy, far more than they need protein.

Look at some of the strongest animals on the planet; elephants, rhinos, bulls, horses (they are 55% muscle). None of these animals eat meat, or have a high protein diet. Their bodies, like our own, creates what it needs if it has an adequate source of energy.

  • @Bradatimrkonja

Jesus christ this is fuking retarded... 'artificial proteins'

Made out of fuking milk, whey = milk....

u mad i have 3-4shakes a day and 2litres of milk on top?

  • @NZhredder

You're right about the 'artificial protein' comment, but you have way too much milk... In all honesty, adults aren't supposed to be consuming milk, let alone the milk of another animal. The proteins in milk increase blood acidity, so your body requires a means of neutralising it. Calcium is an effective base, so its the body's first choice. This is why high dairy consumption correlates to high incidents of osteoporosis in populations.

I recommend you get a new source of protein :]

  • @HandsomeNamed Your milk comment is correct. I am surprised somebody here actually knows what goes on. Companies supplement dairy with Vitamin D because it helps the body digest and absorb the milk. It's not natural for any animal past a certain age (for humans, about 2-6 years old) to consume milk, and people believe every advert they see.

As well, your protein comment. You do actually need protein, but anything that was alive has protein in it, plants or otherwise, just varying degrees.

  • @Bradatimrkonja He'd have to eat like 20 pounds of fish just to get the sufficient amount of proteins you fucking dumbass

  • @Bradatimrkonja Proper Whey proteins aren't poison whatsoever, it is just the best alternative to eating A BUNCH of chicken or whatever... It's a way to gain the proper amount of proteins without getting the excess calories and if you can't actually fit enough food into your body to get the right amounts of proteins. Get your facts straight, peace!

  • @Kenned2oo6 LOL, i can't believe you believe that shit? it's all carbohydrates, fat protein, and other medical shit packed into one, it's definitely not good for your body, whatsoever. It can lead to heart and organ problems because of all the excess nutrients you put into your body.

  • @Bradatimrkonja trololololololol

  • @Bradatimrkonja haha.... oh you...

  • I can help you out, depends what you wanna achieve by working out.

Btw good idea to show people that you working out so they can get inspired too.

  • maximus, is your goal to work out for looks or for preformance? a real time reasonable goal for preformance would be the muscle up on rings or a bar. i say reasonable cause it probably only takes a person around a month or more. so 4 or more weeks. the progress can be tracked visually. took me a month and a half, but took my friend a big boobed blond girl less than a month. /sadface. would like to get on a video collab with this! what you say?

  • Bench my friend and get Kayla to spot you would like to see you lifting PUMPED UP!!!! aha

  • Don't ignore your legs :-) Can you do lunges or squats with dumbells?

  • blackman

  • I work out at the gym myself and I think paying 1 hour attention to your body per day is not that much and everyone should do it!

  • i'm also getting back into it. you're my motivation now jeff :D

  • size 30 jeans holy smokes....you're a lot smaller than I thought

  • Hey jeff you should try working out those bouse triceps with skull crashers using your bar :)

  • I feel great now doing pushups compared to day 1, and my energy levels have gone up.. this plus a protein rich diet (these protein chewy bars are great, 10g of protein and taste good).. also now I dont get tired doing sets of 20 pushups throughout the day and I'm able to do additional workouts, I recommend atleast trying the "greasing the groove" workout or reading about it. If you keep it up for over 2 weeks though, your muscles will be too used to it to get nice progress from it.

  • This might sound crazy, but a workout I started last wednesday got me back into shape in about 4 days after not working out in what seems to be a year! The plan was simple: pushups. I have a whiteboard I keep a tally on, and I do sets of 20 pushups all the time during the day (my maximum pushups is double that for 1 set), and I keep track of how many I do. Based on some research, amazing results are obtained if you do 500+ a day, I managed 400 on day 1, then 600 more since then (needed rest)

  • I think we wanna see you pumping iron in the morning....... No homo

  • you should wait at least 48 hours before lifting with the same muscles again.

  • Hey Jeff,

This is actually an awesome idea for a series, I have been hitting the gym more these days and over the past 6 months have noticed some changes. Keep us posted on how it goes for you and I would love to learn/share some things with you!

  • ddp's yrg yoga it's on youtube, (yoga yeah laugh if ya want) it's no fucking joke i do it man and it's been incredible give it a peep plenty of great workout routines that are low stress and low impact, thus lowering the stress that your joints take from running or heavy weight lifting.

  • Mouse on your screen....OCD Tingling O.O*

  • Wow crazy I literally just started working out today as well xP cheep gym memberships during school is awesome xP

  • Check out Zuzana (youtube channel: ZuzkaLight) or the other BodyRock.tv videos. They're really short home workouts and keep you motivated with different exercises.

  • @l0rdsth Bonus: it's a boner workout, too!

  • Oh god ur gonna need to give ur arms a days rest before continuing let them rebuild muscle

  • Always stretch at the end of the work out... Its essential for flexibility plus it helps a lot to have more muscles.

  • I think the internet should band together and buy Jeff a new video camera!

  • "at least 5 days a week"

Don't. 3 days is more than enough since you actually get bigger while resting, not when you work out. Well I sound pretty confident here, while i don't really work out. But my cousin is, and he's quite bouse at it, so I know some stuff from him.

  • Hey, Jeff I've got a decent amount of workouts/info compiled in a note on my phone that I use for myself that I'll send you if you'd like but it is way more characters than I can comment on here, so If you want it how would you me to send it to you? Also, if you do want it do you want just the stuff you could use with your equipment or do you plan on ever going to a gym with more equipment?

  • Darn you Jeff for making me feel guilty about being spotty about my workouts...

  • Am i the only person that has the Rick Astley song as the very last related video on the right?

  • You know, you don't *have* to take protein. You could eat some chicken instead.

  • Not enough sweaty black men in this video.

  • I wouldn't mind watching you pumping iron. Especially if the music is good.

  • All I can say is when working out make sure to balance 3 things.

    -Cardio

    -Upper

    -Lower

however way you feel comfortable doing it man you will be fit in no time! Keep it up man! may the bousness be with you

  • you should do some squats with the weights it really helped alot when i first did football

  • where are the new story times you said you would do :( anyways i started working out today too. i jogged for the first time in like 6 years and im feeling real sour aboot life right now lol!

  • Google chocolate milk as a post workout snack. Personally I did a tiny amount of pasta, chicken and choco milk. Consume within 15mins of finishing for best results

  • do you regret getting ur tat?

  • bench press make you strong

  • You should make a work out video and sell it... Real Talk

  • a busy schedule, all those gaming hours

  • I think it's really inspiring to see gamers trying their best to stay in shape and break the stereotype of fat and unhealthy gamers.

  • 5'8", 260 lbs ..

Don't suppose you'll make some videos so we can follow along :p?

  • OHHH YEA!!! GO SYRACUSE!!!!!

  • I'm 6'1, 20 years old. No idea about my weight. It's been around 2 years since I've done any exercise. Pretty much it's easy to call you me a fatty (I also have vitamin D deficiency :v). I have no idea where to start or anything, I always get nervous when I go out to do anything. Hopefully this might motivate. You know the worst part is? The double chin. Ick.

  • proud to see both u and novawar getting back on that fitness horse, stay bouse! proud of u boeses

  • Sweet bouuseflex*

  • Hey maximus do shoulder presses and shrugs, they are really noticeable in how you fill out a shirt. After a few weeks of that I was amazed.

  • M-100's best cardio

  • I would also suggest working on flexibility. You will have an easier time working out and feel better all around.

  • Dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet, but my friend Jason gave me a really good work out tip. You want to try to 100 push-ups in a day, best time to do them is after you use the restroom, eat, andwhen you just wake-up. So when you're tired that is the best time to do it. Just gotta be careful after you eat. When you first start just spread the push ups apart. Like when I first started I did ten push-ups every hour. I realy prefer to work out in the gym with my dad since all the machines. ^^

  • Gotta love how everyone thinks they are fitness guru's lulz.

  • @Monksealkiller Lol, give some people anonymity and you get a bunch of experts at everything.

  • I'll do your shoulders... no homo

  • hey whats up men i love your starcraft vids you got to make more of tham. and if you could give me an email so that i could send some vids to you that would be sweet. see ya men (yaniv-11@hotmail.com)

    HOPE YOU READ THIS

  • how tall are you bro?

  • Jeff,

Focus on complex excercises, they are the most efficient and effective. Especially leg excercises, like squats and deadlifts they work your whole body and not just one muscle group. I suggest doing squats (might have to try some variation if you are only using dumbbells) and pushups/ bench press on one day. And deadlift/back/ shoulders on another day mixing abs in on one of those days(but not both). Do those complex excercises starting 4x(8-12) sets and reps. and you can even do a circuit.

  • TRY P90X ! XD

  • @iPodkiD4967 Haha, my 40 year old parents do that. XD

  • a tip i learned from my coach is to use smaller wights and do many different types of workout with the weights in quick intervals, this will help build endurance but it wont get you huge muscles fast. hope this helps :)

  • Holy fuck so thats what a weight is...

  • how tall are you?

  • Damn I could've sworn you were already working out. Maximusblack how can we help with C-11?

  • @YggdrasilRed

    CCER.ca

This is the petition against Bill C-11, if you don't know who you're local MP is you can search them by postal code. Thumbs this up so the Bouse Community can make a difference!

  • How tall are you Mr.Black?

  • Maximusfat.

  • i have been doing pushups abd situps and i have been gradually getting more and more reps each time so thats good i think

  • Instead of doing a split, as @khanriza has said, do a non-linear cyclization or, as some like Rippetoe like to put it, Starting strength.

And don't be a pussy. Do the big five - squat, deadlift, bench press, overhead press, pullup. AND DO NOT FOGET TO WARM UP BEFORE YOUR EXERCISE!

  • Good job Jeff, you have given me the motivation to start working out myself. I'm as tall as adam but skinny as hell and i'm sick of it. So i'm gunna dedicate myself to change. I don't have anyone to come to the gym with me as all my friends are lazy shits. But i'm also gunna be logging my weight and measurements so this will give me a good way to also see your progress. Good luck with it all and stay motivated!

  • jeff, on the next workout video can you lift your shift up so we can see your juicy chocolate abs? ;)

  • lol @ all the starcraft nerds giving workout tips

  • @XGuynFc Not all starcraft nerds don't work-out at all , dude :)

  • @XGuynFc Why does playing starcraft = not in shape?

  • Hi Jeff!

I have some idea for your work out that you can do with your gear, I do it alot here in Sweden. You put out 3-4work out stations. It is all up to you what you want to do. But then your set a stop-watch on 1min interval on every station with 1min break after one circle. I do this for 50min total where I change stations at the half way mark.

Then to finish it of I do a other circular work out for my heart, 30sek High knee, 30sek burpees 30sek mountain climbers, 30sek break. 5 cycles.

    GL HF

  • @MrJohnnyFastfingers goddamn i worked out for a year and i was never able to do that.

  • Arguably the best three exercises to base your workout around are squats, deadlifts, and bench press (if you have a bench or can get one) - the "big three" of powerlifting. That's not to say that other exercises are useless or ineffective, but you may want to concentrate on those. They're extremely good for genuine full-body strength and if you're using proper technique, you will get serious core strength as well. But be aware and use good technique.

  • bouse

  • can you tell us what food you eat also pls? do you not eat many carbs?

  • @skytom137 He says he just tries not to eat Maom and Pick 'n Mix for breakfast and Hookers for lunch :D

  • And also, do not worry if you are sore. The best way to get rid of soreness is by EXERCISING! I'm not gonna go too deep into to science of things but, pretty much your body builds up LACTIC ACID from doing workouts. The body gets rid of some during that time, but some still remains in your body causing pain (soreness.) So really if you just start being active/working out you'll see that your body will recover much faster than sitting on a couch.

  • nice tat

  • go Jeff, go :)

  • Hey Jeff, for your cardio DON'T RUN ON A TREADMILL. You'll find so much more intensity and get much stronger doing M-100's. They're more effective than 30 minutes on a treadmill EASILY! (And they only take under 5 minutes.) If you don't know what they are watch this link. /watch?v=bkD9LwDBWW0

  • @Dirtyyellowboi thats anaerobic though, running is aerobic

  • @ThePimpinGrandpa No actually, its still aerobic because its taking you over a short period of time which would be under 1 minute. By the 1 minute your body needs to start using oxygen to provide sufficient energy for your body, and this goes on for about 5 minutes. So in other words this is just an extremely accelerated cardio workout. This moves your entire body as opposed to moving your legs back and forth.

  • Jeff, don't do full body workouts from now on. Hit different muscle groups on different days.

  • The right arm is just too big...

  • Comment removed

  • If you only want short workouts you probably aren't aiming for large muscle gain and just want to tone your body a little bit. In that case focus on a really good form in your exercises and high amount of reps with as much weight as you can handle without ruining your form. Should give you a lot of endurance and stamina, you'll keep lean and not muscle up too much. I usually do these exercises once a week to keep my endurance, doing heavy weight exercises the rest of the week for muscle gain.

  • @MarcusTheAbsolute Broscience at its finest.

  • @iamguitarhero I gather you disagree then.

  • 1 great addition would be a chin up bar. It'll grow hair on your nuts

  • Why are their anonymous videos on the suggestions tab?

  • Maximus I have a bachelor degree in gymnasticsand ive been working our for 7years now and u need to know something the most important exersices u need to do are. Squat,Barbell Bench press,Barbell Shoulder press,Close Grip BenchPress,Deadlifts, stiffleg deadlift,Standing barbell curls these are the most intense exersices that will help u build muscle and get youe testosterone up.

  • @FreddyGaming bachelor degree in gymnastics??????????
