  • when Peter O'Toole yells, the whole world shakes

  • I now need to watch ever Peter o'Toole movie ever. :I

  • This film has dialogue that just sizzles (the play too )

  • OTooleRules my msn in profile! Ass on purple cushions/walking PUSTULE!!!

  • Shall we hang the holly, or each other? LOVE IT.

  • Outbloodystanding film!

  • King Philip in this setting was a newly appointed 17 year old monarch of France;

dealing with Henry II at the age of 50. He was a good friend of Geoffrey's, and used

    everyone else.

  • John Castle was such an underrated actor in this movie. Geoffrey is my favorite!

  • what a wonderful movie!!!! james goldman was a bloody genius, and you don't get an assembly of actors to top this! this is as good as they come!

  • it's got my troops all over it. that makes it mine.

    LOVE it!

  • -Im always saying something wrong!

    -Stop pouting.

    -Im not pouting!

    -Then stand up straight!!

  • love that line, esp when it's quite clear with john's expression and crossed arms that he IS pouting.

  • Love this movie. Every time I watch it I think, "What the hell are you thinking? Give the crown to Richard!".

  • wonderful ensemble playing by a very starry cast- and what a terrific script

  • Nigel Terry is hilarious. Funny how he made a complete turnaround in character for the film Excalibur.

"What shall we hang--the holly, or each other?" This should be said at every Christmas!

  • yeah, i say it often, and this has a place among the christmas movies i watch every year, along with a christmas story and a christmas carol with alistir sim.

and i def find it odd to see the walking pustule playing king arthur. didn't fit.

  • The Alistair Sim version is the best!!!

  • agreed without reservation. sim is the master, esp at the end when he changes. it always makes me giddy to watch him, and always cheers me up.

  • My favorite play of all time. O'Toole and Hepburn in this are absolutely BRILLIANT! The best adaptation of a play to scree ever I think and O'Toole has never been better. I don't like Hopkins but everything else is PERFECT!

  • Love seeing O'Toole as old Henry II here and as young Henry II in BECKET.

  • oh yeah he was in Becket, that was another great movie!

  • doesn't get much better than this, I'd give 10 stars if I could

  • That last line was a killer!

  • Katherine Hepburn rocks

  • Brilliant screenplay, brilliant acting. O'Toole should have won an Oscar for this.

  • one of the greatest movies ever

  • "I don't much like our children". Hahahahahahaha!!!!

    God, I love this movie!

  • I freakin love the way you labeled this video, lmfao

  • lmao. This looks like a really cool movie :)

  • please post video it is for a history project

  • See above.

  • could u plz upload the whole video

  • Dude. Buy a copy. It's worth every penny.

  • Such a great movie. Awesome cast. I love it! =]

  • love this movie...O'Toole!!!!

  • Thank you for posting a clip from this brilliant film, and clearly one that O'Toole should have one an Oscar for. May he win one for "Venus", a very different, but very accomplished performance. Hail Peter O'Toole!
