I love how you move in to help out a few Stalkers, and a bloodsucker just outright kills the guy 5 feet from you and lunges at you. Oblivion Lost is the best.
The game is easy, and probably short, if you just go through the story. That is my problem. I have a tendency to pile bodies, take everything, and try to sell it all, or anything I can find, even caches. The thing that is bad about that is that it takes forever.. and I mean forever. I have only gotten as far as Pripyat, and that was screwed up... big time. (I was both against Freedom and Duty)
I'm about to go to sakharov for the x16 lab, but I'm wondering if I got the right kit. I have 30 med kits, 50 bandages, a vintorez with 200 ammo + 170 armor piercing ammo, a saiga 12 with 100 buckshots and an AUG Tmp with 500 ammo.
I think this is quite something but I still want a second opinnion.
Thanks for the reply, but right now I'm already in Pripyat. I a gun just before I went in to x16, it was on the second floor laying there, second floor of the building from which you enter x16.
Man it's powerful, and I still have the saiga.
But now I have a desert eagle, no TMP.
I just came across a controller horde with about 30 zombies, I'm fucked if I don't find a way around.
That rifle you found in the building above X16 is an FN F2000, the "best" of the NATO rifles. The SG-550's actually my fave of the NATOs. If I really was a stalker in the Zone and I chose NATO equipment, the SG-550 would be my rifle of choice. SIG rifles and pistols have an excellent reputation for g0od reason.
You'll dominate all those snorks and zombies (plus a controller). What armor did you wear? The PSZ-9Md is the best. It's no longer an ordinary SEVA with Duty colors. In ObLost, it's like a cross between a SEVA and an exoskeleton. All you really need for X16 is a rifle of your choice (5.45 or 5.56, I like to save my 9x39 for Red Forest and beyond) for zombies, a backup weapon for snorks (shotgun/SMG/machine pistol), and some grenades for that controller toward the end afterYouShutDownTheScorcher.
Why'd they give the Vintorez 30-round mags?! You can tell by the depth that they're 10-rounders just like in vanilla. Sure, the Vintorez and the Val both use the same mags. That means the Vintorez could use the same 20-round mags as the Val, but why'd they bo0st the capacity to THIRTY rounds while keeping the lo0k of the 10-round mags? I find that insulting and unprofessional.
When you download the mod it comes in one folder, all you gotta do is copy the files. To revert it back you would probably have to reinstall though. Luckily saved games are stored in a folder elsewhere.
@triangleMann i joined militery =P duty is my first favorite but militery is interesting faction.... i get to do Raid with militery squads all over the zone, apagrom dark valley cordon mainly.....and perhaps do next raid on freedom base again.. xD
i cant decide if i should try Oblivion Lost. is it easy to install? can i still play the original, or am i gonna have to repair the original if i wanna play that again? pleas reply soon, and nice vid.
The weapon is the VSS Vintorez, it's pretty much a AS Val with a scope and better accuracy. The Oblivion Lost mod changes (among other awesome things) the PSO illuminated scopes and the ability to bind 3rd person camera views.

Aim for the head. I went through it with that Sig 550. X16 is cake anyway.

Neat video, damn those bloodsuckers can be nasty, also I hate those mutated rats, they give me the creeps.
What gun are you using by the way? And what scope?
Also, how did you switch to free-look mode there at the end?
