@Buhzie15 NO!....throw it out because the epoxy idea doesn't really work. There is no way get enough epoxy in between the inner-tubewall and the threaded insert to make a good glue-weld. Instead you'll have a small amount of epoxy that hardens on the outside and gives you the false sense of the repair being adequate. Believe me, the epoxy will break and the boom arm will start rotating at some point. Almost assuredly this will happen when a very famous person is trying to adjust their stand.
@stonesour3366 College will teach you the technical end, but it won't teach you the creative end. Best way to learn is to buy so good quality equipment and start working sound for local shows and things of that nature.

dont throw it out! lol, just epoxy it in place. save a few bucks
