  • you know you're farmer when you can understand what the first guy says.. 'hedge is hedge innit? I only chopped it down cos I couldn't see the view no more, what's he moaning bout?' easy :L x

  • whenever I hear someone in another movie or in real life say "the greater good" I always think of this movie

  • @sammyG55 As I am not native speaker, would u please explain what it means?

  • @Mr1987Xman In this movie the old people keep saying that killing people in their town is all for "the greater good". I keep hearing people in other Movie's say 'the greater good' and it remind's me of this movie. Do you understand? :)

  • What do u mean by this one?

  • Yeah I can hear him too, typical local guy back home in zummerzet.

  • My favourite bit it the film! Does for this'n

  • As a non-native speaker and dealing with American English mostly, the scene in front of the house was a game-over for me. NOT A CHANCE. :)

After reading the "translation", I could suddenly hear it all there.

  • I feel really really sad because I can understand what he says perfectly :P Inbred West Country ftw!!!

  • I love being from the West Country! XD

  • I never needed a translator for a farmer. There were many people who spoke like this in my village in Somerset.

  • Haha our farmers know how to be prepared.

  • Spot of bother, spot of bother up at Elroy Farm.

Lol Nick's "I suppose" is very well pronounced.

  • only english farmers

  • I could barely make it out the first time I heard it, could only understand "hedge is a hedge init?"

  • yiaahsuhoose

  • If a person wants to talk like this on his own farm he has a perfect right to do so. Where I draw the line is when these rural characters start going off to foreign climes and setting themselves up giving English conversation lessons!

  • I can actually understand everything he says! I live near where they filmed this and I genuinely know people who talk like that haha, my accent's pretty strong too xD

  • isn't it?

  • The funniest part after watching the farmer, i knew what the police guy was saying and then watching it a threw times, i knew what the farmer was saying " A edge a edge init, i only chopped it down cause i couldnt see the view anymore, whats he moaning about"

  • Found em!

  • Any passing Americans should remember the West country accent is closer to the American than any other English accent is.
