  • I hate the thought of Monty Python and the Flying Circus of being a TV show, it must have been so disappointing when the episode got over and something else came on. can't they just put all the sketches they made into one large movie??

  • @BrettDeLonge

    Buy the DVD?

  • the ministry of housinge lmao

  • masonic crap

  • @PoopieDexter What on earth are (or were) you talking about?!

  • What fruit bat? Eric the fruit bat.

  • If you are calling the author of "A la Recherche du Temps Perdu" a looney...I SHALL HAVE TO ASK YOU TO STEP OUTSIDE!!

    god, I love british humor

  • dude, cleese's face at 2:33 is freakin priceless!

  • So it is! Love Python.

  • "If you're calling the author of 'a la recherche du temps perdu' a loony I shall have to ask you to step outside!" xD

That, "It's people like you what cause unrest" and "spoken like a gentleman!" are the best bits xD

Then again "and Eric, being such a happy cat, was a piece of cake" is pretty friggin brilliant too :D

  • i thought he said heavy cat xD

  • I want a ball python so i can name it monty, monty the python lol

  • I heard this guy was killed by a python he was keeping in his home. The python's name was Monty.

  • "eric the fish. he's an halibut. i choose him out of thousands, but they were all too flat."

my favorite line in the whole sketch!

  • Haha is that what he says?! I thought he said they were all too fat, which made me laugh as well.

  • @KyunChan93 chose him outta thousands, didin't like the other ones, they were all too flat

  • but soft...

  • I am not a looney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i never owned one myself as i didnt actually fish-i put toxic barrels into the ocean for cash instead

  • Funniest line ever is the rebuttal arguement....'Issssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!'

  • "Kemal Ataturk had an entire menagerie called Abdul" is one of the funniest and cleverest lines ever. Did, did, did, did, did and did...

  • eric the fish hes a halibut.

and I AM NOT A LOONEY are the best lines ever.

  • Yay! Thanks for uploading a clip that includes the mayor bit. John's so funny when he acts confused/over awed :D

  • No problem. Thought that part was fitting to include as well, for John's reactions.

  • This is one of my absolute favorites, Cleese at 2:15 and 4:05, haha...

THIRD tallest mayor? How tall were the other ones??!!!

And now the aldermen are finishing their oranges and leaving the post office for the start of the second half, LOVE IT!!!!

  • what is an halibut

  • A flatfish.

  • What is the name of the license-freak? Isn't he the Python?

  • He's a recurring character called Eric Praline.

  • I meant the actors name (sorry)

  • John Cleese.

  • THE (one and only) John Cleese.

  • @VT16

    He means the other actor...

  • isn't

  • God he is SO creepy! I love this sketch!

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!

  • this is an absolutely gorgeous sketch

  • "I shall have to ask you to step outside!"

  • he is an halibut!!!

  • "I have in the past noticed a marked discrepancy between these, post office signs, and the activities carried out beneath."

xD HAHA. I love that, so true for so many things.

  • Weird and wonderful!

  • Playing psychotic individuals comes so naturally to John Cleese, it's eerie. :S

  • It's all in his eyes, if you watch his eyes when he plays those characters they show the madness. He is one of the best actors I've ever seen, right up there with Peter Sellers.

  • so true!

  • indeed! no one plays frustrated psychos better than Cleese....but he makes an awful woman ^__^ ahaha
