How you can say Aichan hasn't got a wide vocal range is ridiculous. Have you listened to her sing much? How about the Everyday, Everywhere duet she sang with Reina in 2008? She hits fantastic high notes with relative ease. She is one of the best vocalists to come from H!P!!

if you google 'lyrics yume kara samete', you'll find quite a few translations, and pretty much they all paint about the same picture -- longing to be with a special someone, yet knowing such a thing isn't realistic. Even the title means 'waking from a dream'.

No wonder Ai-chan gets emotional... she's probably has had to endure something like this as an idol herself. ;)

If you ever see Berryz Koubou performing Bye Bye Mata ne, well... that is basically the definition of emotional! They cry every time... probably cuz they used it as a send-off song for Maiha, and most likely think of her every time they perform it.

I think that the problem is not that they sing badly but they picked songs that were wrong for their voices. I don't know if they picked the songs themselves or what but they didn't match well except for a few people like Ai that were realistic.
