  • Also that replay button has been raped all night lol

  • I always Cringe when I hear the arcade/PS version >.<

  • Very few people know this, but Bruce Springsteen was actually Japanese.

  • This intro...This game will remain in the memory of those lucky users

    played in his day.

  • An amazing game for a child in 1994

  • looks like bruce springsteen voice. Very good

  • This is the original Laserdisc intro footage synced to the audio from the SegaCD version - that's why it looks so good.

Until watching this video I could barely understand the lyrics... and they still don't make that much sense!

  • holy shit. This is WAY better than the sega cd port.

  • Love this. I'm a sucker for revenge stories... was this video sped up, or is that the actual speed of the game? I swear the MegaCD version I have is way slower.

  • After all these years this song remains in my mind... fantastic game

  • No matter how horrid people say this song is it too remains in my mind as well. I wonder if this game was ever an arcade game. I know Revenge of the Ninja and Cobra Command was. I could only assume that this was. I'd like to play the arcade version.

  • story: you and your girlfriend were driving you were ambushed by the bad guys you survived the crash but your girlfriend didnt make it so you decide to take revenge on those who did this

  • EPIC.

  • Best game ever.

  • Do you think I could make a mode 7 game look like this for the gamebo?. Is there a game that looks like this, but is not a FMV game?

  • Road Avenger/Road Blaster kind of feels like Knight Rider. The red car pretty much resembles the third-generation Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

  • however the game is like the first Mad Max film since like the movie, the plot involves a man whose wife was murdered by a ruthless gang, and he must avenge her by taking matters into his hands.

  • That plot idea was later used in Double Dragon, which was also designed by Yoshihisa Kishimoto.

  • also in DD, the car makes an appearance, while DD2 had Cobra Command's helicopter

  • I knew that.

  • I never thought of it that way.

  • I would kill for this song in good quality (without the sound effects, just the music and vocals). Someone should redo-it. It's powerfull and sad at the same time.

I remember playing this game when I was a child.

There's no one who can stop me now, pananam pam pam pam pam paaaam.

  • Hello! I'm the one who sang this and wrote the English lyrics. I'm proud to have learned so many people still love this song of ours

  • I'm crazy of this song. Is there a CD or a place to have it in a good quality ?

Do you have the correct lyrics ?

  • Oh God! You really need to sing this again, make a new version, or give us a way to have this song in CD quality! It's amazing! Please!

  • Whatever Tofusensei2, I checked your channel, you didn't sing this. You're too young. Give the cred to J-walk for the original and redub, yankie.

  • It is not me on my channel but the friend.

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know who sings this? I would love to get an MP3!

  • its Jay-Walk or J-walk its an japanse Band/Artist

  • AHHHH, I love this song/intro so much! I just wish the game would've been more like Mega Race instead of a "push this button now" game. Imagine how awesome a Mega Race type game would be with the same basic setup. We can all dream...maybe one day someone will make a homebrew tribute like that.

  • Where did you find this rom? I can't find it anywhere.

  • how do u get the arcade version on your computer?

  • With the Daphne emulator, I imagine.

  • Get the Daphne Downloader (ddl_install.exe), install it, then choose a game from the list it'll torrent the necessary files automatically.

  • the game was good but i love the words of the song, it's soo meaningful to the story and it's so good. thanks for the post.

  • There was an English version for the Americas?

  • Thunder Storm (Cobra Command) and Road Blaster (Road Avenger) from Data East, and Ninja Hayate (Revenge of the Ninja) and Time Gal from Taito. All of these games only saw releases in USA and Europe for the Mega CD. All of them ported to the system by Wolf Team, creators of the "El Viento / Earnest Evans / Annet Futatabi" series.

  • Thought so. So this must be the SEGA CD version.

  • Love the game, man!

    Thanks for the post!

But I swear, ever since I was younger, I never understood why the poofy-hair chick had beef with our hero. I mean, dude just gets married, and then this poofy-bitch comes and ruins his day--WHY!??! Stepping on his flower and stuff.... I'm glad he killed her in the end--great game!

    thanks again.

  • yes. Toei not only did the animation for Road Avenger (a.k.a. Road Blaster), but they also did the animation for Cobra Command. as for the theme for Road Avenger, the guy who sings it sounds a little like Bruce Springsteen

  • I still have this game...too bad my segacd don't work no more. Still awesome video glad other people like this too.

  • very nice, very very nice i love this game thats incredible

  • I was wondering, Why this video looks so cool? Is this a new version or remake of the game? I used to play it on Sega CD, It´s different.

(My english is pretty bad so I did my best)

  • Originally it was a laserdisc arcade game in the 19080's, its also in high quality on the LAseractive system...and Saturn too i think.

  • I love this game!!! It´s been 12 years since I played it last om my Sega CD. Holy Shit how fast the years fly by. Feels just last night ;) The music and animation is just as coll as I remeber it :) Didn´t know that this was an arcade game to begin with. Thanx for the upload!!!

  • cobracommand much better game to play
