i made something like this out of quest rocket motors, cigar tubes and shotshell powder and shot it off when i was pissed lol, shot it at tha neighbours car but it chased the cat instead and almost blew tha fucker up, good times....... u gotta get the tube as close to the same sise as the rocket as u can and u gotta try to seal the back of the tube after the rockets whired in so the rocket has something to push on when it fires

The rocket doesn't really need anything to push off of, and the tube should be a fair bit larger than your engines, to accomodate the fins. Unless you have a way of making the fins pop out after launch, in which case tell me, so I can incorporate it into my builds

correct, it doesnt technicaly "need" anything to push against but it does help to make more efficient use of the thrust that is otherwise blasting uselesly out the rear of the launcher

how do u make the detoneitor, that thing with cables that when u switch on the rocket ignates ??

buy a model rocket from estes and u get a premade (although really bulky...)ignition system

with some soldering, switches, and wire i made my own to fit inside a pistol grip case and fitted it to the tube took a few hours but was pretty easy

yes i did something similar to that on both of my own launchers

internal wiring is so much less frustrating for storage :)

Make a model rocket that'll fit inside of a PVC pipe, and then launch it out of the pipe.

wow, ive never made a rocket launcher like that, but ive had my fun with rockets before... from the spin of it id say you might want to decrease the weight at the top of the projectile and increase it at the bottom just a bit, that might help a little - hnsolo77
