Less road noise and side by side, the EVO almost always comes out on top. But jfk.. sugar are tough as nails and they have an outstanding reputation for being so. :)

So many slow ass WRX's and most of those STi's seemed stock. Evolutions always come through.

@CJAEY Doesn't really matter to be honest. If it came factory to factory (which I could care less about factory races), the evos are lighter by a few hundred pounds and they're equipped with 4g63s (and they have factory 400hp models). Race is in the drivers hands from here, but in favor of the evo.

And I know more people with eclipses, mirages, and evos that are in the 500+hp range than STIs, not saying it's not possible - just saying it's easier and cheaper on a 4g63. DSM parts are DIRT cheap.

I don't know any USDM models that even came with 400hp. You're right though, 4g63 parts are much cheaper than EJ25 parts. They're a few of stock turbo STi's around the 400whp range and even stock internals.

Most of those Evo's didn't sound stock. Loud wastegates are a dead give away.

@WWEVOIX Whatever dude my dragstrips only 4 miles from me any way what i meant stock subaru's are shitty evos hold up great as for performance road course the subura would be better cause there is more technology used in the transfer cases etc.. for brute horsepower the 4g63 is the way to go....

@WWEVOIX Yes well evos are a lot lighter. STI are pretty much as fast it just what you do to the car. I live in minnesota so I prefer the STI because its badest car in the winter. Currently working on a 2001 Impreza RS coupe full STI swap. It should only weigh like 2200 to 2400lbs or less when I am done. Compared to a 04-07 STI that weighs 3500lbs. I not sure how much HP I want but maybe like 500whp or more. So I will give any evo a run for there money. AL said he was going to bring both.
