Yeah, my bug was marked as a duplicate of your just today (rightfully so), hopfully now that theres a video (and a sugested solution) some of theas issues will be fixed, hopfully in time for 9.10.
I reported that bug back in 2007. (Bug #153374) I've not had Ubuntu installed for a while though. Still, it's interesting that it is still an issue even with the newer Ubuntu.
Good news some of theas issues have been fixed in the latest version.
