Honestly before the match I thought it would be 4-1 United, so I was fairly pleased with what I saw in Arsenal's first half (/30 minute) display. -J

Arshavin didn't do well in defending, which led to the 2nd United goal. But what was he doing there in the first place? I would have thought Vermaelen should've been there. Arshavin isn't a defender and I don't think it's a good idea to specifically trust him to do defensive play. He already has enough difficulties to show some proper offensive play. He looks a bit lazy to me. That's even worse than just not playing well.

@MessiMinutes I wasn't trying to defend him :). On the contrary, I think the least Arshavin could do, for all this money, is try and do everything to show some quality football. But it looks like he's lacking ambition, doesn't want to have his trousers dirty. I just read Piers Morgan called him "a useless muppet". It seems to be one of the mildest statements about Arshavin at the moment. He'd better leave.
