I hope its not too late yet to save them from being wiped out.

I mean: What for God's sake is the sense of killing something we can't use for anything and we really need to keep the oceans "working"?

In new Zeeland they do it this way round: The fishers stop fishing in a bay where most sharks are and they get 5$ per hour and diver who watches the sharks that are now protected

So the sharks are save and each sharks brings 10000$ per year to the community (a dead one just 500$ which makes 1/20)
