Acer Iconia?!? Really? I'm losing track of these phones with the unspectacular features and spectacularly horrible names. The first-to-market smartphones are the ones I readily remember...iPhone, Droid, Droid X, HTC Evo, Incredible, Nexus. The rest are a blur. Hey, isnt Blur the name of a phone? Phonedog's Sydney even unboxed a feature phone called, The Brute. It's getting ridiculous. Hey, that should be the name of a phone, "The Ridiculous". I should trademark it before they steal it.

@slantblant it's because of the lack of GPU acceleration ,on Android the CPU is forced to do all the transitions and animations without the GPU, this isnt efficient and basically makes the scrolling/zooming laggy.

HTC added a mild form of it to their sense browser and home-screen, which is why HTC's Sense UI is a lot snappier than others.

But

the good news is that Google finally added GPU acceleration in honeycomb for tablets , it supposed to be added later on phones with the next release.

According to Acer, on of the reasons this phone is so long, is so that you can view web pages clearly in full width, without zooming. You'd have to do a helluva lot of scrolling tho!
