  • you shouldnt be reading what you want to say.......

  • I shouldnt be reading what you want to say.......

  • i'm sure you are not reading it from a book...

  • Anybody can obtain our passport and driving licence. You want anything ,you get it. All you need is money for our Rulers. You can obtain as many passports as you want in Nig. Once you have MONEY.

  • If there is social security number system, containers will not be allocated to unknown persons in Apapa port.

``One of the affected Customs licensed agents complained that his container, with two Peugeot 207 cars, was allocated to an unknown person.``

  • The politicians in Nigeria need education and the kind of education should be on : ethics, society and the meaning of government. A sound population and identity management it very vital in a society like Nigeria.

  • Check a week dairy of corruption in Nigeria in ``the Nigeria village square``

Then you see things for yourself Mr Chukumerigie.

  • Travel to Gambia then you will see what I mean. Homes in the villages have house phone, solar driven borehole and what is more ID cards. The elderly are called senior citizens and they get state benefits. If you need development, you will need to have social security number system for proper management of identity. It is sad that in Nigeria, there are enough money for contract inflation, to share by law makers, party gangs, and for foreign bank accounts; but there is non for proper identity

  • Which one is the nonsense?

  • I want to also suggest that there should be a national social security number for all residence in Nigeria. This same number : date of birth as, year, month and day--- and four figure. This will help in daily business conduct, people will no longer be bearing different names and setting up different accounts with different names. Such a population data will be useful in law enforcement , tax administration and development.

  • Nestoba, that nonsense is not necessary.

  • That is the very begining if action is needed for a national identity.

  • Nestoba, absolutely wrong. In fact, you cannot state 3 examples how this helps a country achieve national unity. An action like this is first extremely costly, deepens mistrust, and fundamentally gives a Black African government all kinds of wrong powers. How in the world can you skip ideas like forming national panel for translating mathematics and science works into local languages, handing out handbooks of basic academic materials to people in poorer areas before more national numbers?

  • Your Western inspired idea is totally off and incorrect for the Black African environment and shouldn't come before stable electrical energy. Your "population data" is good for resource diversion for building things like public institutions and so on and does need some Social Security Number. Your "law enforcement" idea makes no sense because law is not suppose to be enforced, it is suppose to be agreed upon and if people break it, then there are consequences.

  • Black Africans invented the idea of tax collection which should be limited to businesses (domestic and international). Black Africans are extremely mobile and economically driven people and money is spent without an issue, your social security idea is useless.

In terms of your association of "development" to some Social Security like number, this very illogical. You obviously didn't think through about what you were writing. Trying to be something your not will do this to you.

  • From studying Black African environments, the fundamental problem is distrust. Attempting to mimic Americans or any other Euro-Western society and not patching up and advancing ones native environment is a root cause of distrust, lack of development and abject poverty.

  • How do you know the people who break the law? When people just wake up bearing different names at different time.

  • Nestoba, when people are hungry they will break laws. When people are not educated or educated properly, they will break laws. When there is no basic advancement such as electricity and people know they can't be seen doing something wrong, they will break laws. If your native home isn't developed to care about and accommodate its people and make them comfortable, they you shouldn't be talking about "breaking laws". Education is required so people don't break laws. And to study, you need food.
