@fifa12superior12345 Green Day is not even in the same galaxy. Who would put their name in the same sentence as Dream Theater even? That's like comparing vintage Port with piss water.
Systematic chaos is the perfect name for this album...To the 5 musicians, they know what they are doing and they ultimately come up with an album which causes us fans to have in chaos in our brain and heart...It feels like my heart has a brain of its own now :)
there is no a bad dream theater album just different ones like train of thought is diffenrent from octavarium and this is different form bcasl ( the 9 album abreviation ) and the last album is more like the old one that just show us the awesomess of this band they can change their music is they want they dont just play one tipe of music
I don't even know how in the FUCK someone can be so good at what they do, it's mind blowing, really. This song sounds so fucking sick the drum fills in the beginning are so spot on with the Guitar Stabs WHAT THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
@GuitarAndWow well, train of tought was mainly fast alternate picking all the way trough. i think romeos tapped arpeggios in sea of lies for exemple are more technical than that and his alternate picking is about as fast and accurate as petruccis. and what amazes me about romeo is that live he smiles towards the crowd, does some show and plays the sickest stuff completely flawless meanwhile. petrucci just stands there and stares at his guitar. both equal bands.

@ChubbyGregLord i agree, out of all the albums dream theater have done scenes from a memory was the best for me, and octavarium is just absolutely mindblowing too
@toastednoodle1996 If I were president of the United States, (a 15 year-old president- we're fucked) the first thing I'd do is make a law where every household in America had no choice but to own a copy of Scenes From a Memory, and Octavarium. Dream Theater isn't my favorite band, but they have too much talent and too much lyrical ingenuity to not be a well known band.
To say this is their worst album, is a compliment to the amazing level of mastery their other albums are. People don't like this kind of music because their simple minds are only large enough to wrap around 3 chord dog shit.
@TheIdahoAsylum IMHO this is really the worst album of them. The only songs that save the whole album are these epic ''In the Presence of Enemies pt.1 and pt.2". Forsaken, Constant Motion, The Dark Eternal Night are very metal and lost a lot of the Progressive concepts...DT is a Hard Rock Progressive band not Metal Progressive according to the own members (Rudess and Portnoy).
@firishte1 Yeah well... I like good metal and it isn't screamo so, even if we are taking a dip away from the sacredness of progressive (which Genesis invented - 1968), it's still amazing. We could even say Iron Maiden stepped into progressive when they started using keyboards but I don't think we need to go there. Sad that MP is not with DT anymore though.
@firishte1 When someone says Progressive Metal, everyone says Dream Theater, except you. To call it hard rock would be an understatement and an insult.
@TiagoMorbusSa Meh I guess that's just a matter of opinion. When I just hear the word "progressive", I also think about Pink Floyd, for example. But progressive metal, that is really what defines Dream Theater, imo.

@Samyaza69 I like Black Clouds... way less. This song is great, one of their greatest ever imho (leave the lyrics out) and Ministry Of Lost Souls is cool, too. The rest is...partly okay. There were weaker albums...
