@NataliaPioneerGirl I have only had two mice that absolutely hated being held all my other ones were pretty much like this. Chester would hang out for much much longer and he would actually seek me out for attention. He was a very cute mouse I miss him!
i heard that if you get a mouse or rat you have to get a second one because they are social animals, or else they will bite at their furr and such. Do you have this problem with your mouse?
@RoopyDee Male mice are solitary. Female mice tend to like to have companions though! Most male mice will fight to the death lol. They are very territorial. Rats are different. I have to boys and they get along fine :) Rats do need companions.
I've never had luck with mice being so sweet, but I've owned lots of rats that cuddle and love to ride around with me. I'm also really good at socalizing rats that are skiddish. My friends called me the rat whisperer because they have two that are so scared to be out of their cage they bite and squeal when touched. No one takes them out due to fear of bites. I come over and get them both out and have them sleeping on me in minutes.
i got a female pet mouse today and i named her "Misa" shes adorable :)
but she nibbles at my finger xD and she loves the spinning wheel and she climbed the cage 100,000 times xD luckily it has a roof! but she won't let me pet her yet! cuz i just got her :)
I have gotten a few young males now just from a local pet store the reason I pick them out is because they are very sweet and easy to hold. Withen a few weeks I can hold them and pet them like this =) it helps that males are calmer but I have gotten females to do this to.
@20Nikki19 yup! I had a female that did the very same thing. I have a video of her. Sadly They have both passed away. They had a lot of health problems when i got them luckily i still have their babies :3 Which are thriving.
Those little boys can be quite cuddly :) Did you get him when he was really young or how did you get him to be so tame? It is rare to see a mouse this trusting..........
@CreekValleyCritters I would say i got him when he was about 20-23 days old. He was super wild and crazy at first never expected him tame down! I just held every day and messed with his head and face a lot lol. The other mouse i got with him is just as cuddly. She turned out to be a female.
Sooo cute. :)

As a rat owner I had no idea mice could show any affection, you would think all they would do was panic at the sight of people!

As a snake owner I have to say I'm really tripped out over the idea of a pet mouse. I suppose you could easily reciprocate that sentiment...

You should be careful breeding mice with health problems because the babies can get it =)
