@clouds882 I agree entirely. Cant really understand why Ritchie didn't like it. Its imo the best tune that was recorded at the time of Machine Head. Its kind of ironic that he doesnt like it because it would probably fit in nicely with all that Blackmore's Night nonsense that he's currently playing.

@800764 he's an enigma, that's for sure...very talented, flawless almost to the point of perfection...whenever i watch him play live in any video, i have never failed to be awed and be riverted by his performance....i m glad he gave us so many great songs when he was with purple, and rainbow...i m not a night fan, but i gotta respect the chap's decision to go renaissance...but i do miss the purple and rainbow days...sniff!

@clouds882 Ritchie didn't like it because it's allegedly a Gillan's tune. Despite that during Mark II they put everything out strictly as a collective effort and after everyone's contribution to each peace, it was ultimately true, it's not a secret that different songs originated in separate heads. So this one was initiated by Gillan and Ritchie, the prick character he was let their personal hatred take over. That is why the piece was not included in MH, and Space Trucking (Ritchie's riff) was.
