Seriously irresponsible to set fire to stuff and launch it into the air to land anywhere. Could end up setting someones house or barn or stables on fire. Could kill people, kill animals, or destroy people's livelihood...

theres just a sort of candle in the middle, you light it and as it burns the bag inflates and then lifts up and away on its own. during this festival in Chiang Mai there are literally thousands of these in the skies. pretty amazing sight
